I doubted the capability of Halo Wars pushing a good amount of consoles so I dag up a bit of information to apply context to that "330k" figure.

First of all X360 sales for March '09 was down 60k MoM. When compared to March '08 it was up MoM by 5k.

So why was Feb '09 at 390k? Exclusive GTA4 DLC, and it's very likey what attributed to March '09 being up YoY. If you want to go by VGC numbers then the weeks up to and on launch of Halo Wars, X360 sales stayed about the same. I even think X360 sales were down a little week on week.

Halo Wars was also released at the pinnicle of the Halo franchise, while Halo is still vasty popular it's not what it once was.

Then you're underestimating the hype for Horizon which will release the same month and how much Sony will push it, I've already seen adverts for it along side the Pro on Youtube. 

Halos Wars will probably shift a few consoles because it's "Halo". But don't expect it to push many console.

Thei will market it a lot. Isn't that the first game from  the developers of Killzone since PS4's launch ?

If that was the case, Microsoft would have said that this is the biggest November in Xbox's history.

Sony had their biggest blackfriday so it is impossibe for the Xbox One to win without being up YOY.

 

The Xbox is probably down YOY, and the PS4 is probably UP.

Yes it's their first game since KZSF. The game has also been in development a long time before KZSF. 

This game has a huge budget and Sony will market the hell out of it.

Considering MS didn't even win BF and Sony had Pro preorders prior, it's safe to say that the win is 300k+

They might just have made back, what they lost in gap, to the Xbox One those NPDs they lost earlier, this November.

And they won cyber monday, so their off to winning December NPD.

Then you start looking at the game lineup early 2017...... PS4 is going to keep winning until Scorpio releases, imo.

The gap might be the number of units that PS4 pro sold...

For example, Xbox one might have outsold PS4 if you exclude the newly PS4 pro, or PS4 without pro might have barely outsold xb1!

You are right.

The sales of Xbox will down this year because of the fantastic success obtained by the PS4!

 

November will be huge!! i still believe the PS4 will exceed 2 millions and the Xbox one 1,5 millions.

 

This generation is over. The console war has been won by Sony. Microsoft has to provide more games and to bring news sensations and opportunities for gamers with her scorpion.

 

Xbox scorpio should be the last console of games from Microsoft, and after we will go in a world with dematerialized consoles.

congrats to sony.

Heard from sources that it was quite close so microsoft should keep their head high for keeping up to a company who launched multiple hardwares and heavy price cuts.
