It probably won`t.

GameFreak (as much as I love them) are lazy cunts when it comes to developing Pokemon games. They could have advanced so far beyond what they`ve done by now, they`re intentionally keeping the games fairly basic in terms of graphics and what not and just doing small increases every now and then.

This is true, but even then, the bare minimal of what we can expect of a Switch ground up Pokemon RPG is significantly more than what they have delivered in the past. I just think that a Pearl/Diamond remake for the Switch won't be worth the time when they can working on a new gen pokemon or remaking Yellow. 

Also Sun and Moon represent a impressive leap on past entries, so heres hoping that continues.
