Have you seen Dark City? It's not a perfect movie by any stretch of the imagination, but it had significant style and atmosphere to make it worth a viewing.

Have you seen any of Wes Anderson's films ben?

They're definitely not for everyone, but those that like them, like them a lot.

Rushmore
The Royal Tenenbaums
The Life Aquatic with Steve Zisou
Darjeeling Limited.

His films just have such a witty, yet absurd comedic style.

I'd suggest you start off with either The Life Aquatic or Bottle Rocket, but if you like one, it's safe to say you'll like them all.

Haven't seen Bottle Rocket or Darjeeling Limited, but the other ones were great. My friends didn't like them for some reason...different style of comedy I guess hehe.
