Good for you. I'm a day one buyer and I hate it and wish it would burn in hell. What now?

You hated the game before buying it and still bought it. What can we do, other than point out your lack of sense?

Me buying it makes no difference. I'm not angry that I bought it. I'm angry that they call it Final Fantasy. I am angry that I still had hope that it could be good and was still disappointed. I'm angry that I have to be right all the time.

That's a low score for Final Fantasy. Are there any others that are lower?

Lots are lower,  FFXIII,  XIII-2,  lighting returns,  type 0, FFIII etc etc.

So aside from ports and spinoffs, only one is lower, and it's FF13. And FF15 could still end up being the lowest scored Final Fantasy game of all time.

Yet, you still bought it. Still points out, your lack of sense

to be fair, game critics are more harsh now than in the past. That is why a 75 is now green on meta, at the start of this gen 75 was yellow. To compare new games to old you have to add 3-5 points. Which would put this halfway between FF13 and FF7.

I am only 1 hour in (just got my car fixed) and so far I like the feel of it.

No,  that title belongs to FFXIV and i don't think any Final Fantasy game will beat that.

Trying to downplay FFXV in this thread is really something. The game has only received half the reviews yet and still sits on a VERY GOOD 84% meta. OFC i understand that after all these yeras, the expectations are high, BUT a score of 84 (especially for rpg fans) is totally great!!!

But in this thread 84% is the new 60% ..........

Maybe community in VG only plays games that score 90%-100% (despite their preference in gaming)

You did watch 'Brotherhood' and 'Kingsglaive' right?

It's required to watch them?

I don't think it is. But... the series give a little background on how the boys got to know eachother and how their relation to eachother is. Just small bits but if you managed to make some real life friends you would be a able to relate.

The movie shows you what happens in the capital right after you leave the city. You get to understand a bit about the war, the betrayal, your mission in the game and the world you are in. Some nice dramatic scenes are in the movie as well so when you get out of your car and the game starts there's a lot more weight to it then just being 'on the road' with the Prince.

What does sense have to do with it? Why shouldn't I buy it if I want to buy it and have it my collection? The quality of the game doesn't change anything.

Last time I checked, worth is subjective. If I think it's worth spending money on garbage then it's worth it and it makes sense buying it. If it's worth actually spending time on it is another matter.
