Are you thinking the same thing I thinking?

Probably yeah.

Anyyyway, like i said, now you will maybe see a lot of yellow reviews , and no, it's not only clickbait.

Tks god gamekult and eurogamer aren't on meta anymore, or ff15 would already have another 50 and 60.

well eurogamer is the only site that recommends NMS, so yea... idk. ok.

These western reviewers gave Overwatch a 10/10, a 4 GB game for 70€ rigged with microtransactions. What is the better product? This or FFXV for 65€, 50+ GB content with much much better graphics imo? Its also the only JRPG that is AAA.

And Gamespot and IGN are counted higher which is unfair, Famitsu wont be allowed to give their score because they are Japanese how is Metacritic really fair?

Maybe some reviewers put different emphasis on things? Maybe some people feel that content is not king and that a core gameplay loop can be incredibly fun?

I'd give Rocket League a 10 even though it's just about cars jumping around in medium great graphics with barely any content. Yet I've spent over 1000h with it and I have no intention to stop. Meanwhile FFXV bores me to death and hasn't even 100h of content while costing more. Perspective?

If you're so about AAA and graphics how would you like it if all reviewers rated console games 2/10 because the graphics and performance aren't nearly as good as the PC ports?

Perspective.

Is this super sane michief-free comment really from you? Oh wait, I get it. The fact that you made a serious comment is the actual trolling. You almost got me there vivs.

“Simple minds have always confused great honesty with great rudeness.” - Sherlock Holmes, Elementary (2013).

Opencritic has FFXV at 83/100. That's a great score. Too bad I was put off by FF years ago when FFX came out and ruined the series. Let me know when the mainline FF series plays like Bravely Default, or Etrian Odyssey. Until then I'm just not interested.

Why are people moaning and concerned it's "only" in the low 80s? Just because metacritic has it averaged at that doesn't mean You are going to think that. I know for a fact I'll personally rate this game in the 90s and I'm going to enjoy it massively.
Sometimes I wish sites like metacritic never existed, they sway people to much.

FFX was the best game of all time.

You nailed it. If a game has a core gameplay which is solid and addictive (RL and Overwatch are, for me, really good examples), the game deserves credit. Graphics and budget don't automatically makes a game good if it's boring.

I put +100 hours into Overwatch, RL or Mario Kart, and I was totally bored to death with Fallout 4 or DA: Inquisition. Gimme some mid/low budget game with a solid and fun core gameplay over a shallow, boring AAA open world game any time.

I'll try FFXV though, because I'm a FF sucker. And I'll see if it fits that definition of boring open world game or it's more than that. I hope for the second.

I played for 2 hours today.

I don't know what to think honestly. For one part, the graphics and music are gorgeus and story wise is very promising.

But the controls... I don't know, they just feels clunky to me. Noctis moves like his balls are made of steel. It's very noticeable when I try to turn around or when I jump. I know what they're aiming for: it feels realistic. But, in an action RPG I really need a quick response whenever I do an action. And this game does not deliver in that regard.

As for the combat... I think it has too many options available at the same time. And that, in a real time combat system, can be a mistake. I feel overwhelmed, I want to try everything, but that's really hard in a real time enviroment. Maybe when I've played for 10 hours I'll get used to it, but as for now, I think there's too much actions to think about. In my opinion, they should have introduced some mechanics gradually. Like, In the first hours you only get the basics: attack, block, dodge and magic. Then something in the story happens and you get the teleportation thing. Then a few more hours pass and you get those teammate attacks you do with the L button. And so on. I think it would be better for the player, not only because you let him get acquainted with the things he has at his disposal, but also creates a nice feel of progression.

I have to play a lot more to give my veredict, but as for now I'm struggling to find any major form of enjoyment in this game.

84 currently. Certainly did not expect it to be that low.

By the way, are Duscae and Platinum worth playing for the main story?
