Leaving out Deadpool and Wolverine from the game would, well it wouldn't be a good idea even though the game might sell lots anyway.

Disney's side of things was getting petty but Fox are no saints either. While Fox are just 'sticking to the contract', if they are sensible after the Logan film, Jackman's last one, it migth be best if they do a new deal whereby they sell the rights back but keep like 5% or some crap, let Marvel have control mutants again for some of the profits and doing very little or are in charge of minor bits while Marvel get the major stuff. Ah well discussion for another time. The dispute annoys me.

 

I never did like the fact Cyclops wasn't in Marvel vs Capcom 3. So the character models from the first and second game were just that of stock stuff they had from other games but X-23 was not a popular character then and isn't now.

That is a pretty massive "If" when talking about someone like Capcom. Whats most likely, just like with Tomb Raider is that the developer isn't balling like Rockstar and wants to off load the risk of the game potentially flopping (relative to budget) by having it money hatted by MS/Sony. As oppose to them literally not being able to afford the project without a third party funding.

You're right, RoTR was a money hat. But SFV wasn't. It's amazing how people can ignore facts and statements given by Capcom themselves how they barely have any money to fund big games.

Meh, if so then it will be excused as some sort of non-moneyhat paid for exclusive like SFV was :)

Personally, unless it goes back to the gameplay style of X-Men vs SF, Marvel Super Heroes vs SF, or MvsC1, then I don't give a shit. I paid over a hundred dollars to import MvsC2 on my Dreamcast back in the day. It sucked. MvsC3 sucked. It's all flash and million hit combos now, no depth imho.
