I'd much prefer we make it far easier for people to migrate here legally so that they didn't feel compelled to jump the border.

Anarchists/socialists/communists have been saying that for years, but no one's been listening to them. The rich elites scapegoat the poor so that when they steal from them they'll look the other way.

Because they put a drag on the already strained health system in America, because they take American jobs away from people who where born there or immigrated legally, many illegal immigrants send lots of money home, thus limiting how much they can put back into the US economy, and many more reasons. Thats not to say corporations are not to blame here, they shouldnt use illegal immigration as a way of acquiring cheap labour. They should hire American born people first.



Made a bet with LipeJJ and HylianYoshi that the XB1 will reach 30 million before Wii U reaches 15 million. Loser has to get avatar picked by winner for 6 months (or if I lose, either 6 months avatar control for both Lipe and Hylian, or my patrick avatar comes back forever).

It isn't just the left Poly. The right for years has complained about mass-immigration stealing American jobs and using them as a source of cheap labour, but the traditional conservative base never listens (neither do the democrats). Why do you think people voted for Donald Trump (even with the huge risks attached to it)?

No, I complained about both, not just the immigrants. I complained about using mass-immigration as a way of stealing jobs since companies can use them for cheaper labour, and I complained about mass-immigration because of the economic downsides to it.

Outsourcing and automation are making people lose many more jobs than illegal immigration is. If we stopped all immigration there would still be people losing jobs because the rich companies would try to close the factories and open them elsewhere cheaper or get robots to do it.
