Well, Hyrule Warriors was a pretty great success for both Nintendo and Tecmo Koei (I don't know how well SMTxFE did). Whether Nintendo invested funds in HW or not, the game did a pretty decent profit for a medium-tier game, and we'll probably see a sequel to it on the Switch. My point is, even if Nintendo has to somewhat invest in funds on a Nintendo Lego game (which it wouldn't be that much money, even if fully funded, which I doubt Nintendo would allow), the game would still sell well enough to grant a profit for both parts. Nintendo games sell well, Lego games sell well, so the crossover wouldn't be a flop, at least. Like I said, a Nintendo Lego game is a pretty safe bet.

So what if say the Mario Lego game is a success then? So now we get a new game with Mario in it every few years instead of making something new.

It just seems like you want Nintendo to have exclusives just to have them. What person who isnt interested in Mario games will buy a Switch to play Lego Mario? The people who will buy Lego Mario are probably mostly Nintendo fans that love Mario. So we get that instead of a new cool IP.

I just dont get the argument for this.

I don't want Nintendo to make games for the sake of making games. But the more games we have, the better, that is true for every platform. Not every game can be, or has to be, a system seller.

Once again, I'm just surprised that this kind of crossover hasn't happened as of yet, considering how easy and profitable it could be.  If I had to choose between having a new IP from Nintendo, or 3rd parties like GTA or Persona on the Switch over a Nintendo Lego game, I would choose the former, but I don't really know why hasn't it happened as of yet.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Lets draw in the people who love games Nintendo platforms doesnt already offer several versions of. Lets not just cram Nintendo franchises into other franchises. Work with third parties to get a more diverse library for your console instead.

Of Course Nintendo need more diverse library, but point is that something like this could easily be done and actually would be very interesting game. Lego+Mario or Lego+Zelda=pure win.

What exactly would make a Lego Mario or a Lego Zelda game interesting?

Probably because they dont see a reason for it since the have their franchises and they have all the Lego games on their consoles.

Because Mario and Zelda are one of biggest and one most interesting IP out there, and people would love to see Lego version of them.

So you want a Zelda game with Lego graphics? Ok I guess... Ill rather just play Breath Of The Wild and move on to another game.

ooooo! Quite the Lego standoff here.

As I said earlier, this series it arguably oversaturating the market already. Would the Switch need the already bountiful presence of the Lego games as they are, AND some extra Nintendo themed titles that are all functionally the same game as Lego Star Wars from a decade ago? I can't see it happening.

Why I would want Zelda with Lego graphic!? Did you actually played some Lego games, they all have basically same concept, what is different about them is they have different themes, Hobbit Lego game, Star Wars Lego game, Marvel Lego game, Jurassic Park Lego game...so Zelda Lego would be still be Lego game not real Zelda game, but Lego game in Zelda world.

Yes, that just you, but if you want you can make Poll about this matter and to see exactly how many people would love to see Lego Zelda or Lego Mario.

Yeah, you can say that about everything. Do you want an M rated Zelda game and most people would probably say yes as well.

Give them an option in the poll, like would you rather have a Mario Lego game or a new 3D Mario game. Lets see which one wins.

Not to mention, that after Lego Zelda or Mario Lego, we would most likely had Zelda and Mario Lego toys, that definitely sounds like new Nintendo would do.
