Forums - Politics - Trump supporters finally realizing they've been conned

He hired billionaire Republican donor Betty DeVos to run (more like defund) the Eduction department.

He's looking at billionaire investor Wilbur Ross of Rothschild fame for commerce secretary.

He has put Sprint lobbyists on his transition team who are anti-net neutrality ... say hello to internet caps and an internet duopoly.

"Drain the swamp" my ass. He doesn't need to be bought, he's already friends with all these people already, people got suckered by a con man.

My other concerns are I don't actually think he really wants to be president. He seems to have no real conviction on anything. It's like he will change his tune on any topic based on which group of people he's in front of. When he does interviews with the liberal New York Times he says he loves the NYT (even though he then bashes them constantly) and maybe humans contribute to climate change. Other times climate change is a hoax. Which Donald is the real one? The scary thing is I don't think there is one, he is a narcissist to the point of wanting to have his ego stroked so he will say "whatever the people want to hear".

When meeting with the media he gets upset that NBC is using a photo of him with a double chin and goes on an angry rant about that. He's already skipping daily intelligence briefings and is saying he'd prefer to spend the weekends back home at cozy Trump Tower. The presidency ages a person like twice as fast and at age 70 he's basically giving up the last few good years of his life really to take this post and he looked like a man who had reality dawning on him when he went to go meet Obama. He looked like a deer caught in the headlights.

This was a PR stunt that ballooned out of his control, people liked the crazy things he said and he liked being in front of cheering crowds so he kept saying those things.

People still expect a president to deliver on their major promises?

He won............. but the very same libtards who say they are "for" peace and democracy are now attacking trump supporters (and don't say you have not seen all the stuff where trump supporters are refused service in bars and restaurants, or getting beaten up visciously) and doing everthing in their power to get the result overturned.

Bunch of cry babies, simple as that.

So much for needing a safe space, a lot of anti-trump supporters are late teen whiny thugs who are too lazy to even go and get a job.

Oops, i forgot, some do have a job........ they are paid by GEORGE SOROS to potrest anywhere and everywhere.!!!

And lastly...... gotta love Jill Steins new plan to fleece money out of liberals huh...... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wScnlBEg27Q

"libtards". Excellent. Just excellent. If that's not a way to make a point, I don't know what it.

Also, generalizations are all sorts of awesome. Of course all liberals think the same way, have the same demands, and of course exactly the same people are the ones who attack trump supporters.

Anyone who thought that was naive, but I think an even bigger concern is I don't honestly think he even really wants the job.

This is the world's biggest PR stunt gone very wrong. I think he wanted to lose the election so he could yell "rigged" at the top of his lungs and use that to start a Trump TV news network that would earn him more bank and greater celebrity.

But actually now having to do work? No hob-knobbing with celebrities, no more judging beauty paegents, no more movie premieres and reality TV shows, no more relaxing in his NYC penthouse. I really don't think deep down he wanted this. Even his wife Melania apparently would prefer to stay in New York than move into the White House.

And that is worrying. Being president is not fun and games, it's a lot of work, now Trump is suddenly going to have work for middle class peons that he doesn't really give a crap about. He also shown he has the thinnest skin imaginable, everything bothers him or pisses him off. How is he going to deal with not being liked. Not being liked is part of being president, every president has to deal with it, I think with him it's going to get ugly because he reacts like a child when ever he's criticized for anything.

I think we now understand that Trump was playing the media and mostly everyone like a fool.

His promise to Jail Hillary was to make us focus on such an absurd concept and what are Hillarys faults and frankly get unlimited free press.

Exactly. It was just great rhetorics!

It's just a way of saying how bad and corrupt you think a person is, "she is a criminal and she deserves to be put in jail".

Just like if I dislike someone, I might say "you deserve to get a hammer in your forehead", while I might not literally mean it. Simple as that.

It never meant he would actually prosecute her if he won and very few people actually believed that. Why would he want to do that if he won? She already suffered enuff.

So this is just bitter leftists trying to make it appear like Trump is backtracking on his promises to make Trump supporters upset. Sorry, but it doesn't work.

And hiring billionaires to head key department positions and letting lobbyists into his team? Is that also just business as usual?

This guy is just a typical slimy self serving billionaire with the temperament of a teenage pop star, the only difference is I don't think he even really wants the job.

Wrong analysis. He is very passionate about this, he is passionate about being a president and being able to change stuff and becoming part of history. Oh yes.

And the proof is that after the election he didn't hide. He already told what he would prioritize during his first 100 days, which three things specifically he would focus on first, and that he has repeatedly emphasized that some reforms will be implemented fast, he clearly wants to prepare the people in radical changes. And he presented his new team pretty fast.

Choose the Supreme court judges, the fence, implement some immigration restrictions, cut the global warming international deals, cut the global trade deal. So many things he's gonna do.

Trump is a man of action. This presidency will be the most intense in history. This is going to be good.

But he chose those people for tactical reasons! He has already explained why he chose a couple of "establishment persons". To make effective changes and make them fast you have to have men who understand the establishment well from the inside, how the system works.

He doesn't really want the job?

He's been considering running for president since 1988, hardly the actions of a man who doesn't want the job.

Trump is a man of action. This presidency will be the most intense in history. This is going to be good.

He is hiding. He is not giving the press access like normal president elects do. He had the press for one closed door meet where he went on and berated NBC News for using ugly double chin photos of him and then saying he was OK with the current photo they use. That's what his psychology is. He is already skipping daily intelligence briefings.

He is hunkered down in his golf course in Florida, his wife is saying she likes her posh life in New York too much and won't be moving into the White House, and I bet deep down he feels the same way. Moving in to the White House is going to be a "downgrade" for him, and no more fun beauty paegents or parties, no more Apprentice tapings and move premieres, even no more rallies where people cheer and stroke his ego all day.

Now the hard work is going to start, policy decisions, having to actually do *homework* on global situations and not just shooting your mouth off, learning to swallow your pride and ego in certain situation, dealing with being hated by everyone at times with no cheering throngs to bring you up. A guy who's never worked manual labor a day in his life now having to prioritize these people on a day to day basis.

At 70 years old, he only has at best probably 10 more good years left, all the orange spray tan in the world is not going to hide that forever, 4 years of the presidency is like 8-10 years of aging. I think this is also now dawning on him.
