Forums - Nintendo - GameStop: Nintendo Switch Could Be a "Game-Changer" That Expands Gaming's Audience

Did he mention what game it is changing? Usually people don't like game changes.

We definitely know anything about Switch, but probably biggest change with Switch of course that you can play for instance Skyrim on go or at home on TV, any way you want.

I'm already tired of Switch PR bullshit.

It has yet to begin. Just wait untill after 12/01/2016. It looks like Nintendo is going all in at that point .

In the wilderness we go alone with our new knowledge and strength.

let this be true!

I want Nintendo to sell lots!!!

It basically takes tablet gaming and makes it so that you can have real video game controls, not just crappy touch controls.

I keep wondering how the Switch could be a game-changer when it doesn't really have a gimmick that would change anything. I do think its selling point of being both a console and portable could be a changer in the industry though. Though, it'll have to sell well 1st.

Best thing is the removal of discs. Guess I got spoiled with the ds, but I loved the fact that pre owned cartridges will never have any issues that discs typically have. Scratched, piece missing, dirty, etc. No worries for any of that with cartridges

Discs typically have a piece missing?

i once bought a used Wii game from Gamestop. It had a big chunk of it just yanked off lol.

They obviously gave a new copy, but I was still irritated as to how that could even happen. Nowadays though, I just laugh at it.

12/22/2016- Made a bet with Ganoncrotch that the first 6 months of 2017 will be worse than 2016. A poll will be made to determine the winner. Loser has to take a picture of them imitating their profile picture.

I think as technology advances, consoles that are mobile and home capable are going to be really appealing. That's what I think Nvidia meant when they said they'd be working with Nintendo for 20 years. They have plans for life after switch I'd imagine and it looks pretty sweet from here.

Still dont get why people say it's going to redefine gaming... it's just gaming on the go... I also have a device that can play console quality games in my pocket... it's called the Iphone.
