Forums - Nintendo - Bethesda’s Todd Howard on Switch: “One of the best demos I’ve ever seen”, promises support

That sounds like Nintendo did some good work on reaching out there. We'll see what the true effect will be, but this is new. Refreshing new .

In the wilderness we go alone with our new knowledge and strength.

I think the real story here is that Nintendo demo'd the Switch behind closed doors at E3 this year.

And no leak was made?! That is quite impressive.

Well we had infos that NX NDA was incredibly strong.

Now I'm curious about that E3 demo he talks about.

Skyrim is, more or less, a given. But it remains to be seen what version of the game (the original or the remaster) and if they have something more than that.

The little he says about HW comes with a NDA reference.
So, if Nintendo had shown everything about HW - or the most important part - he wouldn't hold himself back.
"Probably the best demo I've ever seen." Has to mean more than we saw.

As i suspected, there's something BIG coming January 12th!  :)

That's extremely strong praise and doesn't sound like PR at all. He must have truly been impressed.

Star Trek on Wii was goat Bethesda! :P

Wonder if this means F4 could make its way over as well, it's technically a game that was originally bound for PS3 and 360 but was then moved over. If it does hopefully Bethesda doesn't release one of their disaster patches like they did for Skyrim SE on PC, PS4 and X1 that stopped the game from working.

The odd thing is I think Bethesda could do quite well on Nintendo platforms as the userbase aren't new to alternative first person games with worlds to explore, starting with Turok back on the N64.

As long as the Switch preforms well, hopefully it will get good 3rd party support

I actually had Where's Waldo on the NES. Probably still do somewhere.

As for the Switch... there must be something he saw that I didn't. What was shown looked cool, but not amazing. Hopefully there's some kind of surprise on January 12th.

Well he would have gotten to see more in terms of system capabilities and actual functionality.  Where as we saw a trailer meant to be "representative" of what it can do.  And only what they wanted to show.  So he probably has more knowledge of what the Switch can do and handle.

Maybe I would have liked it better if it was running actual gameplay footage and stuff, or at least footage from new games instead of ports.  But, there's something really big missing for me.  Unless the system is just way more powerful that we expect, there needs to be some big hidden feature.

Dunno if that's possible.  When Waldo goes to the moon?  Tears.  Every time.
