Forums - Gaming - ADR1FT Cancelled For Xbox One

Never heard of it but I noticed it has quite a big  VR focus so even if it's not coming to the Xbox One they devs may still have plans as a VR Scorpio title I guess.

SCREW THIS! I'm throwing my Xbox One in the dumpster first thing tomorrow morning!

Wow, you can tell IGN's inflated scores have had an effect on gamers. Even so-called core gamers. A 50-60 is not garbage. Its just an average game that has nothing really special. Doesn't mean that no one won't like it. If people really think anything below an 80 is garbage, they need to rethink their hobby.

But, keep up the "less games are better."

^ A 50-60 game is garbage 99% of the times.

so many things wrong with this post.
"If people really think anything below an 80 is garbage, they need to rethink their hobby." where did you get that from? Yes the game is below 80. WELL below. 56 for the PS4 version, which is the closest this game would get on X1. I've played thousands of games, many in the 50s. They are not garbage, but there's not much point in playing them either.

"its just an average game" Wrong. 50 (or 56) is NOT average, at least for console games. No matter how you think what score should be average or not. Factually the true average score is well above 50 and probably around 70, which puts this game well below average.

"less games are better." said no one ever. Less bad games are better. Definitely. Gamers have more money to spend on better games or on somethings else they will enjoy much more. Wasn't the Wii hated for mostly this reason? Shovelware taking over giving developers and publishers an excuse to release shitty games in quick succession to earn lots of money, while ignoring making actually good games?

No, a 50-60 is an average game. You can say mediocre, if that suits you better. Still the same thing. The problem with reviews is we have gotten away from the true scale, were 5-6 is average, and adopted one where 7-7.5 is an average/mediocre game. Anything below that is seen as garbage, even though there are some decent games around and below that. And the 80 remark is because I have seen plenty of people shy away from any game that's below that score, even though on the true scale, that's a pretty good game. Hell, some laugh if an exclusive on the opposing side doesn't get 85+.

So what you're saying, is that someone who might buy and enjoy this game shouldn't have access to it because the reviews aren't good? That is utter nonsense. In this day and age there is no excuse for being blindsided by the quality of a game, especially a game that reviewed poorly.

Nobody makes people buy games. Simply having it on the store doesn't hurt anybody. Being a bad consumer and not doing your due diligence does, but that shouldn't mean you limit consumers choices.

No, you're the only one harping on reviews. I'm not saying shit based on reviews :)

My point, is it's silly to suggest that it's good for a platform to miss out on a game because the majority of people don't like it. It is, best case scenario, a neautral scenario.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

The game is already out for Play Station Four and PC and it is trash...
Did you even read the OP?

Its a VR game and those get continied support with updates

Oh... Is it a new thing now?

If the game has a VR mode it becomes an evolving and continuasly supported game that can evolve to something else?

No.

It's good for a platform to have less garbage shovelware. It's good for gamers to not buy shovelware. It's good for developers to learn that hey, maybe we shouldn't make utter shit games.

Seems a win/win/win. You can disagree and continue to feel bad for the 12 poor souls who might have wasted money on this turd, I will continue to celebrate that their hard earned cash might go to quality work.

why would they not release it? thats 20million people who now no longer have the choice..
