Forums - Nintendo - Xenoblade X port, Beyond Good&Evil for Switch leaks & more

Why do people keep saying this? It was literally never slated for launch. In fact, it was deliberately never slated for launch.

All of the details pointed out to launch, if not day-one, not that far off (in particular the amiibos). This, and the lack of info by Nintendo themselves.

No, they didn't. Literally nothing at all pointed to anywhere near launch. Amiibos are a separate product. Nintendo literally gave it a broad 2017 release period the same day they revealed the Switch's March 2017 period. That is the most blatant "This is not a launch game - we honestly don't know when it'll come out" message they could possibly give. There was no lack of info - just assumptions.

Super Mario Maker and XCX ports baffle me..

Gief XC remaster instead.

this list is way too safe and without any ambition.

Too many ports/ remaster, everything is too familiar.

I hope they have more ambitious, fresh titles for the launch and 2017.

Someone should make a thread that keeps track of all these rumors and their originator. And then verify whether or not they become true as they come out or they dont. So that we can keep track on who to trust that is.

Cause 7/9 Nintendo games coming out next year are just ports which does nothing for me.

If XBX is really coming to NS, please please please let us transfer the save data from Wii U to NS.

If true that's 14 titles, we know that Sonic, DQX and DQXI are also confirmed taking the total up to 17 and it's very likely a Monster Hunter game will surface given the platform's portable capability and we know of EA having a title. You have to factor in that is 19 possible titles in the first 10 months where as the Wii U had 12 in 14 months when it launched, not only is it already more releases but this time round the is only one library (Pokemon's presence if true tells me 3DS is phased out next year) for Nintendo to focus on so the likes of Fire Emblem, AC and such are all going to be Switch bound in future.

Overall it's a solid line up for the first 10 months, you really have to go back to the SNES to see comparable launch year line ups like that, if the pricing rumours are true as well they're possibly on to a massive win here.

I'm glad they're pushing Xenoblade X as that could boost the series heavily.

As someone that owned a Wii U but stopped buying games for it because they got expensive where I live, I don't really mind these ports. I'll be getting the ones that I haven't got the chance to play for sure (XCX, Mario Maker) and maybe get the others I did play, depending on how much new stuff they add (I will be getting Smash for sure though, because that game had a ton of DLC and I didn't buy any of it). While they're at it, I hope they bring a complete edition of Hyrule Warriors too =P

Care to elaborate?

The fact the you say the Wii and Wii U launch games was mych better.I mean, you may have liked them better(the games) but assuming the Mario game is at least excellent, the Switch will be miles better than the Wii U and most likely better than the Wii.If you consider the whole first year, it will certainly be better than both.More titles and also more quality.Thats what I meant

From Wikipedia:

Wii launch titles:

U.S. launch: November 19, 2006

Wii U launch titles:

This would be a bit disappointing honestly. That's ALOT of games i already own for a launch. Guess they're targeting everyone who didn't buy a wii-u? I guess if i focus on what i don't have it's pretty good though. I am a pretty big pikmin fan and a new mario rpg could be sweet. If the new 3d mario is more like galaxy or 64 then i will probably have 0 interest in it. But those 1st 2 would keep me busy until zelda comes out. Not a great year imo though. I suppose that can't be it though. Wish it was January 12th.... for many reasons.
Man i would instantly change my tune if that were a xenoblade sequel.

Exactly my point.Taking out the third party title, that the Switch will obviously have(they simply havent been announced yet), the Switch exclusives simply look and seem better. The Wii had TP and Wii Sports as the great titles(with maybe one or another title) with TP being a crossplatform title.and the Wii U had NSMBU and Zombie U.So so far, The Switch seem far better, and that is not even the full lineup.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.
