Hmm? This was never about which has the better (subjective) games. Fact is, the current lineup is embarrassingly weak compared to Nintendo's other consoke launch titles.

What?Of course it is all about quality. It dosent matter if you get 50 games on launch. If those 50 games are bad, it will be the same as releasing none.Quantity dosent mean it will have a successful launch, but the number of worthwhile games to play is.And again, that list is not final.Far from it actually. So knowing this, the Switch line up of the first year, and so far launch too, seems really solid and much better than the Wii and the Wii U.And to be quite honest, much better than the PS4 and XOne.

That's a really subjective matter, which I said previously. By your logic, Switch still has the weakest launch lineup of any console in history because I won't be looking forward to any of those games except Mario. See how opinions work? You seem to be stating your own opinion and then making it seem like a fact.

Who cares?

People who want new games. You might just want a WiiU 2.0, but I dont see the reason for that.

Most people who buy a Switch will be getting new to them games, so again, who cares?

This can't be true, XCX would be unreadable thus unplayable on the Switch's small screen. Fake confirmed!

As for this rumored year 1 line-up as a whole, I'm gonna wait until the official reveal before passing judgement.

Well I hope so. Might have to wait 3-6 months between releases like on the WiiU though.

That's clearly not going to be the case. That's the whole point of the ports and consolidating their departments.

Well if they can access the eshop on 3DS and WiiU and play those games on the Switch, then theres no need for the remasters then. Problem solved.

Depends on the game tbh, eShop is literally just a straight port that they can't really add anything to, in a case like Splatoon the rumour is that they want to push for a competitive scene like what Smash has so new features and DLC is planned which would be tricky on an eShop version they'd have to rework the game anyway so it's likely they decided to just do remasters. Smash 4 has a successful competitive scene so the remaster is likely more for switch players who haven't picked the game up yet and MK is probably the same.

The ports wont do anything for many people who have played them on the WiiU. I dont see the reason for porting games if they have many more developers to make games for the Switch. Give us some new IPs or revive some older IPs instead.

Not true, I played XCX almost exclusively on the Wii U Gamepad wirh no problems.

There is no competitive scene for Splatoon or Mario Kart. Smash Melee is still the one people prefer as well.

Sweeeet! I wonder if the XenoX port will add a story

It had a story. You clearly just weren't paying attention.

You actually call THAT a story? Yikes...
