Overwatch has 5 total - not bad! Impressive that TW3 nets 4 awards through an expansion o.O
What do those "in association with" end tags mean though? Is that the magazine or website who was responsible for naming the victor of their respective category?

A HD remaster won best Nintendo game of the year. That kinda says it all about Nintendo in 2016.

Its hard for me to take serious any award ceremony- be that of videogames or any other art form - whose voters is the audience. I'd trust Satan before user opinions.

Having that said... Not bad, I kinda do like these results.

Satan would probably award Flappy Bird every year though

Great job to Overwatch!

I love how Nintendo's GOTY is just a remake of a game released a little less than a decade ago, kinda shows how meh this year has been for them overall.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

loll yea xD

Lol, Uncharted 4 lost the best story category. And rightfully so - that SP was trash.

Xbox Game of the Year is a multiplatform game... from last year... that's a bit of a kick in the teeth isn't it?

I've not played any Xbox game but I'd give it to Forza Horizon 3.

Not played Overwatch. Is it really that good although it has no sp?

It could've been either Fire Emblem Fates, TMS #FE, Xenoblade, or Pokken but fans voted for an HD remaster instead. Which is too bad since all those games are great. So it isn't necessarily a meh year when you consider those games, plus Pokémon Go's phenomenon, the hype for Switch and Zelda BotW, and the 20th anniversary of Pokemon that led to Sun and Moon being the most preorder game in the company's history.
