Forums - Sales - PS4 Pro is completely sold out in Japan, 500$ scalper prices. Media Bias exposed

That s not our fault if sony didn t ship a proper number of PS4 pro and didn t talk about the shortage.

We all saw 65k, which was disappointing, we all came to the logic conclusion that people didn t want to buy more.

And to be honest it could still very well be the case.
Scalpers doesn t mean that there is a shortage.
You can order it on amazon japan right now

Being available doen't mean it's not selling well.  And you're forgetting that in the UK, the Pro has helped the PS4 outsell the Xbox One again.  And it's more evident that you're offended because you keep a closed mind when the links you post could be interpeted either way.  I'll go on the record to say that I'm glad the NES Mini is selling well, and I hope it's the hottest selling item this Christmas shopping season for personal and professional reasons.  I can go on, but you're too one sided to see otherwise.  Have an awesome weekend.

UK is the same... I'm not EVEN going to post the link as you could at least check before saying non-sense again.

I mean Canada, US, France, Germany, UK, everywhere it is available and you keep coming with your non-sense about it selling lik hotcakes.

Fine, we are all one-sided and you know what you are talking about; you are not one-sided at all. I mean, at least we are linking real things and not coming up with "interpretations" or anything. Like having the thing available everywhere is definetly more in line with selling like hotcakes than not, right?

Have a nice weekend too. And do not finish your post with this kind of sentence if you plan to respond again anyway :)

Edit: Fuck Amazon... Now I have all website I go advertizing the Play Station Four Pro like I want to buy ones because of cookies! meh...

:::Plan to expose offense to PS4 Pro is a SUCCESS!!!:::

i talk about Japan here. The PS4 Pro is worth the money more than the other alternatives this hollyday season, with only 100€ more you get a lot more  performance. Youre dissapointed because you had wrong exceptations and no 4K TV

Eh? Who said i was disappointed? I knew what i was getting. Only got it because i got a huge price cut on it. Otherwise wouldn't have bothered. It doesn't mean i'm unhappy with it. And i couldn't care less about the 4K. I want the better FPS, colors, textures and lighting.

Maybe i should explain the point again. For an existing owner, pro is hardly worth it. For new users, the pro is hardly worth it (though a bit more). But don't expect it to sell like hot cakes. It's not gonna happen, and its good that it doesn't happen because it would bring a potencially bad practice to the market. As an optional model its doing well. And finally this exposes nothing about the media.

i gave example how it exposed the media saying that sales will be meh in Japan

Yes, there are scalpers, but I don't think the demand is too high. You can find 99+ offers for the console on amazon for about 55.000 Yen, so 10k above official retail price. It's just people trying to make a quick buck, but it obviously doesn't work out. The firsts ones are already lowering prices to 53.000 Yen.

It's like this with every console launch. But when the demand is indeed high the prices rise to insane levels and the stuff does actually sell on eBay and amazon marketplace. Both is not the case here. At least afaik.

edit: Oh, just for the record, also available with no problem whatsoever in germany. But I honestly didn't expect a rush on those things anyway. It's not a new console after all.

its avaible in UK and germany and US for the launch price but not Japan thats the difference. Amazon.jp doesnt offer their own PS4 Pros right now because its sold out so yeah its sold out

no you cant there is no Amazon offer for 45k Yen which is the launch price, only these scalper offers for 55k Yen. This proofs there is huge demand

Has anyone considered that they can only produce so many at the same time. Sony has to pay for these things to get built. While an infinite supply is a nice fantasy, its not practical so ultimately, since they are doing a simultaneous global launch, they will have to limit the shipments to regions and try to speculate demand.

So by your opinion the Xbox One S must be a total failure now too? It wasnt sold out in any week in any of the regions since its launch.

Something selling out isnt the definitive measure to define something being sucessfull but its the definitive proof, at least for this region.

I'm not sure, but if that's true that's a bit odd. We had all this week continuing reports about the NES mini being under-shipped and being a scalpers dream. And it is, that's for sure. I didn't hear once about this.

You know if someones console is stopped in production of course they try to look elsewhere for numbers, thats why you know so much about it.

Seriously... You guys can keep going with your non-sense posts. And now bringing the Xbox One S into the topic lol
Keep derailing the shit out of this thread please with some console war stuff...

Now as I said, I believe it is not selling like hotcakes "in my oppinion" based on obvservations from each countries I checked (including UK, CA, US, FR, GE, etc...). This is far from calling something a failure...

Please just take the time to read and comprehend posts before responding with non-sense like that. Nobody said it are a failure (and especially not me). There is HUGE difference between selling like hotcakes and being a failure.

Now if your oppinion is that not selling like hotcakes (because this is what we are talking about in the discussion you responded with your non-sense) is automatically a failure, then yes. I guess the majority of the products out there in the world is a failure including the Xbox One S you are bringing in this discussion for some obscur reasons...

So no, not in "my" oppinion", this is yours. Your definition of failure is definitely different than mine.

I like how "selling like hotcakes" and "still being available" are being treated as mutually exclusive things. A product can still be in stock while selling extremely well.

Exactly, wouldn't you want a product that's selling well to be on store shelves so you could, y'know, sell more of them?
