Have to assume Zelda will be delayed until holidays, maybe within first 2 wks of Nov. '17 at the earliest.

Rumour specifically saying that will be launched few months after Switch launch, so we dont assume that will be November games, much better chances is that will be May title.

Hopefully you're right.  Zelda should release before E3 and avoid the negative press, which will serve as a reminder of " yet another E3 and no zelda" bla bla blah.

It would be very strange that after Nintendo E3 2016 that basically was just a "Zelda E3" for Nintendo, we have another E3 with Zelda.

That sucks, I couldn't care less about Splatoon. I got tired of the first one in 45 minutes.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

2. There has been absolutely nothing in these rumors to suggest any of this content is coming to Wii U. Given Nintendo's focus is largely on the Switch now, that seems extremely unlikely. So until rumors or confirmed facts suggest otherwise, no. These are ports with brand new, Switch exclusive content. And if the rumors are to be believed, these games will have a LOT of new content.

I'll just say this on this part;

People aren't going to see "see new content" when these games are on shelves, they're going to see "old games". Having all these ports at launch is a bad idea, no matter how much they added. Perception counts.

Well PS4 owners were exatied for seing The Last Of Us Remaster and Uncharted Trilogy on PS4, because huge number of PS4 owners didn't had PS3 and they didn't play those games and so for those people those games are basically new games not ports of some old games. With Wii U its even bigger difrence beacuse only 13m people actualy has Wii U, and new content/mods and probably upgrade visuals will give reason even for Wii U owners to again play them. Also rumours saying only Splatoon will be launche game, while MK8 and Smash Bros will be launched on every 2-3 months after Switch launch.

But offcouse there will be new games also along side those remasters.

I guess that's unfortunate for you...

In the end, Splatoon is one of the big surprises and great stories of this generation and has the potential to be the next big series for Nintendo. Japan is all over this franchise. From merchandise to concerts to soundtracks to food to apparel. So it'll at least interest those in Japan.

Nah he hasn't even touched the game, he dislikes it since way before it was released, he even predicted it would flop harder than Wonderful 101 because it had no appeal, no marketing and no hype. The thing is, it actually had an a ton of those 3.

Damn, skyrim for X1S or Switch, dilemma.

Sounds about right. I'm sure they want to take as much time as needed to polish Zelda and ensure it is bug-free, and launching a game that huge alongside a brand new console would be quite challenging. Skyrim is there to fill the void in the meantime, plus Mario has always been a bigger system seller than Zelda, so a brand new true 3D Mario game at launch in the vein of SM64 would be stellar. Enhanced versions of Splatoon and MK8 are also nice bonuses.

The big question that still remains is what kind of 3rd party offerings will we see around launch and within the 1st year of the Switch's life, because that's going to be an early indication of the kind of support we can expect for the console.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

I'm shocked that the Mario game would be ready at launch, but that would be a massive win for Switch though if so. 3D Mario, Splatoon 1.5, Skyrim, and MK8 are actually a really solid launch lineup. MK8 in particular is big considering despite it being the best selling Wii U title, it still hasn't sold a whole lot compared to Mario Kart standards. Will be like a new Kart to some of the people who buy Switch, and they've never had an MK title at launch. Combined with the rumored price, they are doing a whole lot right it seems.

That isn't really shock, Mario 3D World is finished in October/November 2013, that means they around 3.5 years for new 3D Mario.
