Yeah these 2 have definitely been very buddy buddy lately. Wonder will they ever work together if Sony strengthen their stranglehold on the home console market.

No, I actually want fable 4.
Well, that's a nice gesture, if not a bit odd. Has Ninten ever congratulated the competition before? Though I can see why they wouldn't, considering Sega for example who gave them so much crap back in the day xD

Well Sony have previous beef
And Sony are far greater competition, makes Ninty salty
I can understand why Sony and Microsoft would praise or talk about Nintendo in a positive light, as they are "the veterans" and Wii U was a flop.
Nintendo has been more conservative, so gestures like this are not shocking coming from a Company that has stayed true to its Japanese roots, instead of chase after trends.
Phil Spencer has been very positive about talking about the competition. He's praised Nintendo in the past. It makes sense that Nintendo would return the favor. When more people buy consoles and buy games, everyone wins. Competition is healthy. Friendly competition is even better.

I need Emily Rogers to start a rumor about MS and Nintendo's love affair!
Pocky Lover Boy!

Nintendo celebrated Xbox's 15th anniversary with a tweet. More than anything they did for Metroid's 30th anniversary... (taken from someone's tweet

Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

Companies are made up of humans. In the case of a major player in the gaming industry, it is reasonable to assume that most of the people involved have used, or are actively using their competitors' products in their daily life.
It's a Tweet. There's not a grand conspiracy behind every action a company makes. Its a simple post in recognition of a significant date in the history of their industry. No reason to think it is any more or less than that.
