3D Mario is good and all, but BotW is what people want to play right now, it's what will sell Switches. Wouldn't be smart to have it miss the new systems's launch.

I don't think it would matter much.

Nintendo can shift 2million units at launch with 2D Mario and shovelware as launch titles tbh, its not hard to get hardcore enthusiasts and early adopters in launch month. 3D Mario is a big step up from 2DMario and Zelda will (hopefully) arrive right around the corner so there will be no slowing down of momentum.

It will be the same situation as the Wii U. Launch is not a problem. It's what comes after. If Zelda is really a May game it could help, but I doubt. It looks more like a traditional holiday release.

Also, as Peelman said, people is asking for Zelda, not Mario. Nintendo must not be as obtuse as they were during thE Wii U era doing whatever they wanted instead of giving people what they ask for.

From what? It was pretty much assumed a launch title and the same source which is telling us it might miss launch is saying testing will likely be 4-6months starting the new year which means April-June.

Furthermore Zelda is not the only thing Nintendo can use to sell systems, so I will wait for their official games line-up before making any comparisons to the Wii U which launched with nothing more than 2D Mario and the promise of Pikmin 3 and Wonderful 101 arriving later in the year lol

Zelda has been constantly released during holidays. Remasters not, but new games. Also the past may games are multiplayer online focused.

Maybe they would've had more of an incentive to make those games if they'd seen higher sales for their existing great games.

I mean why are there only 7m sales for Mario Kart when it could be 13m? It's such a great game, yet half of Wii U owners chose to not give Nintendo money for it. Why should Nintendo owe them for that?

Great game but inferior to past MK games. Same with Smash, Mario games, only Zelda remasters, 2D games, etc. Why would I support a step down in quality? Why would I support games that nobody asked? How can I support games that they are constantly delayed and not even launched?

Here I can't agree with you, MK8 is fantastic and superior to most previous MK games.

Anyway, vivster is just joking... Isn't him?

If Nintendo released more games and the ones we asked for, We U owners would have bought more copies. It's not our fault that Nintendo released a terrible library for the console.

Are you joking? If you dont buy Mario Kart, then you dont deserve other games?  Thats the worst argument I have ever heard.

13.5 million Nintendo fans sat and defended Nintendo's stance during the Wii U era, claiming it was for the best and blaming the other consoles for the lack of quality games. Having Nintendo change stance is unlikely considering how their corporate policies (push out PS2-quality shovelware and stick Mario on the cover) didn't change after the disastrous Year of Luigi. Especially when they think there's 13.5 million consumers out there who are happy to buy rubbish blessed by them.

Yes, he's joking. But I want to bash Nintendo a litlle more. Of course I'd love them again when they announce that Zelda is indeed a launch title. Love u Ninty.

I'm part of those 13.7 million and by no means I defend the console. I would never recommend the Wii U to anyone other than punishment purposes or as a Xenoblade X/Virtual console machine.
