A trade war with China would decimate US giants. They would take China side instead of US's.
Chinese economy would greatly suffer as well.

A full on trade war would damage both Nations.
There will be PR stunts on both sides, and ultimate a "reform" that will really just be an accord to keep everything as it was before.
The only thing major thing I could see go differently is greater protection for US Patents abroad. In exchange, Trump could offer expanded student visa programs.

Enjoy paying 45% more for those. And China also holds a huge amount of US debt, if they called that in, the US would be in massive trouble. So it seems like Trump while being a puppet to Russia is trading that in for worse relations with China ... which is far worse overall. China is not only far bigger economically, they are bigger militarily too. Hope Trump is not this stupid, we could be looking at a massive global recession. |
Of course he's that stupid. Thanks for nothing Orange Hitler, you're already screwing people over economically without entering the oval office.

China has nuclear missiles. US has nuclear missiles. Nobody's gonna attack anybody. And other countries will surely avoid being dragged in this hypothetical mess. People who don't understand how nuclear dissuasion works should stop trying to spread fear on internet. And even if you don't understand nuclear dissuasion, the mutual economic dependance between US and China is more than enough to stop any overly agressive behavior.
The only way US and China could "go to war" is if China cross the line and invade another Asian country (the tensions in the region are really high). And even then, the US army wouldn't intervene directly. But once again, China has a lot more to lose if they choose the military option when they can easily continue with the economic and political option, so this scenario is unlikely too (but less ridiculous than the US/China nuclear war). |
Oh I'm sorry I didn't know you were an Army general and knew USA and China's plans on when and how to attack.

At least I've got a geopolotics and defense training thanks to my country's Ministry of Defense, including the nuclear dissuasion, so I'm more or less able to say that nobody wants a nuclear war...
We can only guess things, as always, and it can be wrong later. But if you're able to explain to me how and why the US will declare war to China, go ahead, I'm sure I'll find a lot of people interested in this.

Comparing Trump to Hitler. Sometimes you have to wonder why people are so hyperbolic.

We probably have enough stuff in our stores, storage and docks to last a while. Meanwhile half your population, will lose their job and we will be fine. Just to get our business back you will sell us back our debt. Oh, and someone said China's military is bigger than ours? |
See, this user gets it. Not only this, but there is a lot of nations who would do anything to make our products.

I cannot believe the conversation on this thread...
LOL
People talking here a war or a trade war between the biggest countries on the planet is like some sports game, one upping who got the best offense/defense/tactics, who scores the most goals or points wins the championship.
Is this the PoliticsChartz?
Everyones life in this planet would change, the current economics as we know would be thrown in the trash can. There wouldn't be any winners, not USA or China. The only "winners" would be those watching from the sidelines and even those would end up losers.
I cannot imagine toilet-free life.
Kebabs have a unique attribute compared to other consumables. To unlock this effect you need to wolf down a big ass kebab really fast, like under 10 minutes or so and wait for the effect to kick in. If done correctly your movements should feel unbelievably heavy to the point where you literally cannot move at all.

A literal war with China would destroy a good chunk of the planet. "NATO" is a joke. It would be US vs. China, which sure the US would probably "win", but they'd also likely get hit by several nukes. So would Japan and quite possibly Europe too. Also any type of "ground war" with China would be a disaster. US was having headaches with freaking Iraq and run down Afghanistan. |
Ground war? No such thing when two super powers go at it. We will literally crush China in minutes if we wanted too.
