Forums - Nintendo - Laura Dale: UK Retailer GAME to Price Nintendo Switch from £199.99

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't tech devices like consoles and PC components usually more expensive in the UK than what a direct currency translation would say, even to the point that sometimes a 1:1 conversion is applied?

Please excuse my bad English.

Former gaming PC: i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

Current gaming PC: R5-7600, 32GB RAM 6000MT/s (CL30) and a RX 9060XT 16GB

Then that Canada one backs this up to!
This must be real!

If I have to take a guess here in Australia. It would be $300 and $400. Currently the new3dsxl is around $250. While the Wii U is around $300.

Thats standard pricing, If you look at offical Wii U prices, you will see that in UK Wii U is £250 while in rest of Europe Wii U is 299€ and in US Wii U is $299.

Wii U was £299.99 at launch for the premium and £250 for the basic, you're looking at current prices after it has dropped in price.

I know that UK price include taxes, just like in the EU, but even taking them into consideration the price is usually higher than it should be.

At least that's the impression I have.

Hope so. Ill wait until January 12th before celebrating.

But would the less storage option be sufficient for those who do not plan on digital games?
