Yes

such a good game with so many variations! Initially I thought you were talking about puzzle quest but I second-guessed myself. :/

Its a great game indeed. There has been many Puzzle RPGs after, but none of them come close to this one imo.

Mega Man X?

Nope, but still getting closer and closer..

Would be kinda tricky but... Super Metroid?

Missile Command as guessed by Darashiva

'Missile Command' is an old but famous arcade game later ported to various consoles in various forms, including the Atari 2600. I have played a host of these clones on almost every platform known to man alongside the Atari port, and I'm including this port as the representative of all of them. I have played one where the cities were more than just a bunch of pixels, ones where the cities look like London, New York, Tokyo and more, one that's on the moon, one with different types of ammo and one that includes Bill Paxton's line "Game Over man, Game Over" from the movie Aliens upon defeat.

The premise is simple, and I take it everybody knows this. The player must defend the cities below from aerial bombardment, carried out by aliens or an enemy airforce, by firing missiles at the incoming projectiles. The tips are the target, shooting the lines is pointless. Once a set number of incoming missiles are deflected, the player advances to the next stage which either ups the speed or amount of new missiles. The game ends once all the player's cities are destroyed.

These types of old games are always fun to play, even if only for a short time. 'Missile Command', 'Chopper Command', 'Pitfall', 'Asteroids', 'Space Invaders' and 'Pong' itself, you name them, I'll play them any day.

#44: This beat-'em-up let's you pick one of three members of a special forces team, each taking their own path through a cruiseship on their way to the ship's bridge to rescue the President's daughter from pirates.

I did, but couldn't really get into it. It felt kinda slow to get into, and pretty brutal to play as well : X

Yup, it's pretty brutal in the beginning, specially if that freaking Eye of Chtulhu or whatever starts picking on you a lot before you understand properly how to fight bosses and not only small mobs. (boy, that thing becomes your bitch later on, you feel so damn noob when that happens, lol)
But the game if pretty damn good, there are a freaking lot of stuff to do, collect and craft, and some bosses later are really, really hard (that Duke Fishron is insane), and I still have to play the big update it had a good time ago on PC but is still to come to console versions, that added a whole lot of other stuff and breaks past the usual damage/difficulty cap before it...

Terraria is so good xD

Yeah, those dang eyeballs would kill be so quickly, and the zombies too.. -.- I should give it another try sometime, but each time I played it, I just got frustrated. Plus, it ran kinda slow on my laptop. Maybe I'll wait to get a better PC to try again...

Here are my hints for todaaaay

44 - This is the last game made by this company before they went bankrupt, and it's very much like the 1st game they made back on the DS, where you played as a normal boy in a village, but are suddenly pulled into a long journey where you search for witches, but end up becoming allies with them. This game was on the 3DS, had a silent release, and was soon forgotten. Also, you work with witches, make them sing songs and they power your power up. Also, it's a tactics game. This has gone long enough.... @_@

Stella Glow.

I don't have much free time this year

xD You got it! And I remember you got some of my harder hints last year, haha.

What size of map did you generate? I can't see Terraria being that demanding considering the pixel art graphics but maybe if you play in a large map it slows things down.

I dunno, my friend was the one who set it up. My lappy is pretty awful and needs to be replaced at this point, so it may just be my computer.

So Mega Man X is closer than Earthbound? I'm kinda lost there xD

Great, my plan is working.

Super Metroid is number 46. You kill enemies by shooting them just like in Mega Man X and Super Metroid.
