#14 Final Fantasy VI

I've already talked about this game in great detail in my article on the game, so if you want to know what I think about it go check it out. In short, this is a masterpiece, and easily one of the greatest RPG's ever made.
Hint for #13:
When this game is mentioned the discussion almost invariably turns to a scene about laughing.

Final Fantasy X.
Your #14 and #13 - Two more games that are also on my list.
Signature goes here!
#15: A great launch title featuring a dinosaur.
#14: The third game in this very hard 2D platformer. Introduces the double jump.
#13: The birth of a certain blue hero.(No, its not fucking Sonic)

That's correct.
I'm getting curious on the differences of our rankings for all those games. You clearly have a very good taste in games regardless.

In the meantime, here's some hints: #16 - A remake of one of the earlier entries in this series, but wasn't made by the company who owns the franchise. #15 - A game that definitely has too much water, but didn't get a 7.8 from IGN. #14 - Now you're thinking with _______. #13 - The first game in this series to be directed by a certain person who would go on to take over as main director of the whole franchise from that point on. It was also a game quickly put together less than 2 years after a classic. #12 - This platformer's predecessor was set in an island with 8 worlds, but in this game, that island acts as the final world, with 8 levels each representing one of the other game's worlds. |

MediEvil as guessed by Ka-pi96
One of the best PlayStation games and one of the best adventure games in general, 'MediEvil' was a fresh take on the genre and a take we sadly haven't really seen since. The game centers around the fallen knight "Daniel Fortesque", who is hailed as a hero in a past war, but in reality wasn't anything of the sort. When the evil sorcerer Zarok plans to strike again, Fortesque is resurrected to battle his old nemesis, but remains an undead.
The game does not take itself very serious, which is good. There's a lot of slapstick comedy in the way enemies are animated, certain events in cutscenes and in dialogue. The final battle is particularly interesting when antagonist Zarok shows his wizardry skills, or lack thereof. Gameplay-wise the battle is also unique, the first phase for example has the player empower undead allies with bolts of lightning in a sort of field battle instead of fighting any enemy directly.
The rest of the game is equally memorable. The combat remains satisfying and the levels also contain various puzzle sections. Souls of the defeated will be collected in the chalice, which unlocks new and stronger weapons and shields if filled completely. The series remained on the original PlayStation sadly, with a port of the first game to the PSP, but i hope one day there will be a new sequel on a modern console. It deserves to be a trilogy.
