There's been several instances of that from what I've heard. I haven't heard of a democrat appearing threatening towards people, but that might be because I don't follow the "right channels".

Well, it explains why rich people isn't as heavily taxed as others.

So you don't believe he is this kind of person, not really? He's just acting up to get the attention and the votes?

Trump is not all of what he said, but certain things are true to who he is. For example, I am quite sure that he has something like a "would bang" scale to rate women. But many things he said are too extreme to believe that they are his true convictions. Sure, he is a proud US-American, but I don't think he would build a wall between the USA and Mexico, let alone arrange it in a way that Mexico would pay for it.

how many times does he have to repeat it for you to believe it ? I'm sure he said it more than 300-500 times in front of crowds/in interviews/on national TV - how many times?

I wouldn't even make such a bet regarding the outcome of Bengals@Giants, and I am multiple times more convinced about the outcome of that game than I am about the result of this election.

I don't follow baseball, so I'd shy away form that bet as well.

I was going to be nice by the way, give you a fine Austrian avatar.

And I guess you don't follow pro football either =P

Didn't Merkel throw out "Wir schaffen das!" hundreds of times? Am I supposed to believe anything someone involved in politics says, as long as it's repeated often enough?

The first thing that comes to mind in both cases is "How?", but I don't think a satisfying answer was given in either case.

I thought Trump "is not a politician"?

He has every intention to build that wall, although in reality he might not be able to even if repubs win this election "bigly".

I cannot imagine voting for someone based off the belief that they don't actually believe they things they've said. As if that were a positive trait.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

I remember going to sleep thinking Brexit wouldn't happen. Sweet dreams!

I want Trump to win, just because my values align more with republicans.I don't like the man because he used a lot of rhetoric which could cost us the election and because he made this election more polarizing than it needed to be.

I do agree with some things that he says, though.

-Border control. There are genuine threats that may come from the border in its current state, like drugs, violent people, terrorists, it needs to be secured better. No, I'm not talking about the stupid wall which would cause more trouble than benefit and would disrupt wildlife.I am talking about using technology like sensors to help the border patrol function in a more efficient manner. Also no I am not a racist for wanting a secure border,(nor are most people that support this issue) I actually overstayed my visa when I came here and was still here illegally until just 3 years ago.

-Military investment.Believe it or not our military really is becoming obsolete.Russia and China are so close to us, probably even surpassed us technologically already, we only have the strongest military because of its sheer size.Besides, when we invest in the military we not only invest in security, but we also create millions of good jobs.

-Refugee vetting process.Even though most of our recent terrorism has been from people that already resided in the U.S, I don't want any more people that could become radicalized(we have enough movie theater shootings as is...)I admit though I don't know much about this subject but I'm sure there is room for improvement.

-State rights.I am a firm believer in state rights, I have seen what a big corrupt government is capable of in Mexico and I do not want that for Americans. The U.S is such a massive country, it is absurd to think every state is identical.

-Taxes.

Taxes are what I care the most about,no I am not an asshole that only cares about himself. The current tax system is just ridiculous I paid close to $200k last year(would've been even higher if I had reported cash dealings) and in April I will have to pay even more this time, even here in Texas! Yeah, I do alright myself, but I also want my employees to do well.My plan when I started was to pay $15 per hour to set a positive example and to keep my employees happy so that most of my business would come from good word of mouth, those wages just weren't possible with our current business tax, had to settle for $12.Still, most of the activity I get from my landscaping company and my co-owned restaurant come from people that support small businesses, and because I stand up for workers.Trump's Tax plan is the only thing I completely support from him, I believe there are many people like myself that want to increase their wages, hire more people, expand but we just can't because the current business tax is killing small business owners.

Anyways, I am ok with either one of them,I did great during Obama's tenure, and people say Hillary will be the same so I'm not worried.I hope you guys get whichever candidate you prefer.

In either case, it's unfortunate both candidates failed to motivate you to vote but you aren't alone as (in fact majority don't usually vote anymore). You can always vote during midterms and local elections in hopes that those candidate can influence the national level in the future, though.

Well I feel like it's not even about the candidates for me, even if in this election there were the 2 best candidates that there would ever be in election history, I just personally don't care much for politics and still probably wouldn't have voted. It's just not something I would really care about doing.

Looking at this thread and seeing so many people not old enough to vote - suddenly a lot of things make a lot of sense now.

And thank god for that. "I voted Trump for the LOLz" is exactly my issue with all these 'get out and vote' campaigns. It should be get EDUCATED ( IE vote for a reason other than the LOLz) then vote - not just go vote.

I don't know if you're specifically trying to reference what I said by you saying "I voted Trump for the LOLz", because that's not what I said. I would have voted for Trump anyway, regardless of even if that type of attitude wasn't happening from some people. I'm saying while I would have voted for Trump anyway, that sometimes that reason is also yet another factor because I can also prove wrong the type of attitude that 'voting Trump means you're automatically racist' that some people seem to genuinely think, which is not true at all. It's just the cherry on top, as in just another little bonus to voting for him that I think is worth thinking about.

It's like if someone was going against someone that talked all this shit to them in a race. They want to win the race for the gold medal or whatever prize is there, but there's also the bonus that they can get the satisfaction of proving the other person wrong and rubbing it in to them.

So what I mean is that the people who have the attitude of "Anyone who votes for Trump is racist" can be proven wrong and if they want to continue to have that shitty attitude just because someone had a different opinion from them, then I can just laugh at them if Trump wins.

So if that was about what I said, don't try to twist my words out of context.

Also dude, if people are given the right to vote, they can use that right and vote for any reason they want to.

I wish more employers were like you, instead of denying full time to their employees for benefit cut purposes; which causes havoc in the everyday operations, especially around holidays.

When it comes to military, I'm the opposite. Congress needs to hold Pentagon responsible for their over expenditure and corporate welfare to contractors that overcharge the government for sh*tty jobs: Haliburton!

We are going to spend 1 trillion dollars on a Joint Strike Force jet, that has proven time and time again unreliable and overkill for our needs. And that's just Lockheed Martin. A group of generals, were tasked to supervise the project with 100 personnel and their cost of operation after a year or so was $300 million dollars and they couldn't explain the congress where that money was placed.
