Let's wait and see if this is a world wide trend before we gleefully starts yelling DOOOOOM! I see a lot of potential in this game, but ultimately I also think this should/could have been its own IP

Good call. It definitely could have been a new IP. It doesn't have all that much in common with older games in the series. I remember seeing the IW footage at Sony's presser at E3 and thinking it was a new property.

I was thinking that until they actually got FPS mechanics in space. Until that moment, I was thinking it was a new Ace Combar .

Weird, I got a diffrent feelng. True, I've only played MP a couple of hours in a friend's house. And I was hoping they truly tried something different, and I left with the feeling that it's more or less the same formula... Nothing that different as the trailer suggested.

Multiplayer is more of the same but the campaign is a different beast. It's kind of like Call of Duty, Mass Effect, and Halo combined.

Yeah, as far as the campaign goes, it seems definitely more interesting than the last games' campaign. Does it have coop mode? I might beat it with my friend if that's the case.

No co-op campaign :(

Oh, well... One day I'd make a letter to all gaming companies that social coach play STILL exists xD. It's an annoying modern trend, can't blame just Activison for that.

Even when COD sales are down, the game still outsell 95% of games out there.

Noted but still, no1 saying its going to lose money or even stop making games for the franchise. 50% (though just 1 region) is still a huge hit. I know nintendo for example wouldnt want a mainline pokemon game to sell 9mil despite it outselling 95% of all other games

Every big game has it's decline pretty much. Just a fact of life.
