As a designer, I think it's more "meh" than anything. The web 2.0 stuff is getting old but given the target market, I guess I can overlook that part of it.

I really dislike icons only for navigation. It makes your eyes look someplace else to find a decription if you don't immediately recognize what the icon is trying to tell you.

It's still a big improvement over that pseudo-webpage the PSN is now, though.

i think everyone is missing the whole point... the new store is software based instead of being web based which means that it should be much faster.. thats why its being updated along with firmware 2.3

I didn't have much of a problem with the current version, just that it was very slow. So good if this is all true that they're changing it to software instead of using the browser.

To me it seems like the design is focused a specific group of people. Looking at it I can associate it with high class Penthouse-like inspiration.

Which I greatly love. So by me this store is class, the previous one was total ass. I was hoping Sony would change it into something stylish, and damn I am I glad they did :).

I also think we have to see how it works in motions before some peeps add their last input on it.

I see so its going to be part of the ps3 XMB interface instead of a web page. Thats great! Now we have IN STORE XMB!!, I just hope we get a ton of content come mid april.

My biggest gripe with the current PSN is that three page bullshit >_>; The current PSN is so convoluted it's hard to navigate :( And the sorting by genre's seems to be a bit off, so when I can't remember the name for something I'm kinds SOL >
