Forums - Nintendo - DeNA: Partnership with Nintendo seen as "highest priority"

It's definitely nice to see the DeNA- Ninty partnership is doing so well. I can't wait to see the FE and AC games! And yes, I took this from gaf.

I wonder how will their apps work in relation to the Nintendo ecosystem. They will win money, yes, but I'm sure their biggest priority is to gain attention to Nintendo's main offerings.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

I'm not sure why DeNA would give a damn, they want money. Why would getting people to buy Nintendo's other products that don't involve them at all be a priority for them?

Because I've got the feeling Nintendo is going to invest more and more in DeNA until it ends up owned by them. Nintendo needs someone to make both their mobile offerings and their online services.

I guess if they believe that soon they will be largely owned by Nintendo then it would be on their list of priorities, but until Nintendo actually does own them, their own interests (i.e money) will always be their biggest priority.

I got to believe the AC & FE mobile game delays and the Switch delay were no accident.

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016

Sounds like that is going well. I'm sure I'll check out SMBR.

Like I said, DeNA is doing the Switch's OS and firmware.

This means Nintendo has more dev. resources for their console development focused on Switch than in past generations, even with their smartphone initiative.

Source? I would like to know where you got that info from.
