Today I was thinking that Nintendo hasn't included the staff of Pokemon emerald in Pokemon OR/AS... So, my avid desire is  Nintendo to start remaking the third version of Pokemon games too.    Do you find remakes of third versions redundant?

These are the third versions of each gen pokemon games. ( sadly, 6th doesn't have a third version )

Yellow -> Electro Yellow

Crystal -> Aqua Crystal

Emerald -> Delta Emerald

Platinum ->  Griseous Platinum

Black2/White2  ->  Glaci(o)us Black 2/  Glaci(o)us White 2 or  Fulmin(o)us black 2/ Flammen(o)us white 2

( B2/W2 are  sequels, but essentially it's a third version with two games that feature kyurem, crossed over with Zekrom in B2 and Reshiram in W2, instead of Pokemon Grey with just kyurem )

Couldn't they make new stories on older regions? That way we get to see Kanto and Jotho again without the need of remaking everything.

Nope, other then Yellow there's nothing meaningful about those games other than the Pokemon themselves.

I wouldn't mind seeing Yellow rebooted on the Switch as a new take on the franchise. For tge other games I don't think they're worth the time. I'll rather just see the next full blown entry.

They should only be remaking 3rd versions, since they were always the canon, complete versions.

In fact, they shouldn't be making more than one version of any game. It's silly.

Pretty much this. I think the next game would ideally be a whole new Pokemon Adventure type thing where the plot takes you to key areas within all of the regions including aloha. It'd be an ambitious game and I'm sure Nintendo have no intention of doing it -_-

Yes, I'd like to see them remake the best third versions. Aside from the most obvious reason (Making people buy the game twice), I see no reason for them to keep remaking the inferior versions of the games. I've never played gen 3, so I was excited to play Omega Ruby when it came out, but in the end I've decided not to buy it and wait for Emerald to come out on the Virtual Console instead, whenever that happens.

They should have only remade the third versions from the very beginning if you ask me. Oh well!
