Great, thanks for all the responses so far and I'll take it all into consideration.

I found most points made here weak. I mean sure at the moment it's not being supported by Sony but for someone who hasn't had one, it has built an impressive library. As long as you don't only play games that came out a month ago, you'll find plenty of great games to play and love. You may wanna tell us the genres you like so that we can suggest a game or two.

I've been gaming on vita since the day it came out (almost every day), Ihave over 100 games and I've only played 2-3 jrpg's. The rest were different genres. People like to act as if jrpgs are the only thing on the vita but it's far from the case.

Also, Sony did support it initially and the result was some absolutely amazing games.

It really, really depends on what other platforms you have.

A lot of the games on Vita are available on PS3, PS4, 3DS, WiiU, PC, etc.

There are some great exclusives like Wipeout 2048, but you can find titles like Gravity Rush, Virtue's Last Reward, Guacamelee, and Severed elsewhere.

It has a big collection of "indie" games and PSP/PS1 classics, so if you want to play those on the go, it might be worthwhile. If you're a Japanophile and/or a PS+ subscriber it also might be worth the investment.

Yeah I recommend. My favorites include:
Uncharted: Golden Abyss
Gravity Rush
Tearaway
Rayman Legends
Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Plus
Assassin's Creed III: Liberation
Resistance: Burning Skies
Final Fantasy X|X-2
Killzone: Mercenary
Metal Gear Solid HD Collection
God of War Collection

If you think the purchase is worth it..

There are a lot of interesting titles, so if you are fine with those games and are not expecting any new ones, then it should be okay

I have my brother's vita and a pstv here. I mostly use the psTV because I don't care about the handeld part.
If you like japanese niche games it's great. The value I got from the atelier plus games alone justified the 100$ pricetag.

I've owned 3 Vitas; I'd recommend it 10 times out of 10 if you love Japanese games (which I do; so owning one makes sense)

Hmm.... time to buy a Vita again.

Vita is awesome.
Dragon's Crown
Muramasa
Tearaway
Child of Light
Wipeout 2048
Ys Celceta
Sly Cooper
Trails of Cold Steel
Persona 4 Golden
Gravity Rush.

Worth it just on those alone. My fave handheld this gen. I like my 3DS as well but Vita just hits the right notes for me.

For 150 USDs, I think the Vita has enough worthwhile titles to pick it up. I've built up a small collection of games for it, so I think I got my money's worth.

If you have money to spare, buy it. There are some cool games, like Killzone, Uncharted, LittleBigPlanet and Persona 4 Golden, but not many.
If it will harm you in any way or you have to make a payment plan, do not buy it, the handheld allure burns off really fast.
That said, it is the coolest handheld ever made, very high tech and it feels good to have one, for a while...

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.
