Uncharted, is not a great exclusive, neither will be gran turismo, or resistance 2(which will no doubt be AAA), and metal gear will as well.

What are you trying to say? You consider yourself the top sony fan and act as if the PS3 is a worthless pile of trash.

I think MGS4 will, and also expect resistance 2 to outsell gears of war 2. FF XIII is also a game you should look at.

 I hate Gran Turismo, and I've always hated Metal Gear. MGS4 just looks like it can be good, despite previous game in the series. Resistance 2 and Uncharted are in no way, shape or form top-tier PS3 games. I would put Little Big Planet before both of them. I don't like the huge Playstation brand titlles. If I hated them on the PS1 and PS2, what makes you think I will like them on the PS3? Just having great graphics isn't going to be enough for me. A lot of those games need to prove themselfs to me first.

You're like the only person on this site that thinks I act that way towards the PS3. Ask any person the site which console I like best and 100% of the site will tell you PS3 without question.

I seriously doubt MGS4 will sell more than Halo 3. MGS games breed raving fanatics, but don't have as a wide an appeal as Halo games. Halo is just easier to play and easier to get into (whether or not Halo games are better than MGS games is not the issue. MGS might very well be the better series, but Halo obviously has a wider appeal). MGS has never sold the way the biggest franchises have, though they've always sold rather well. I expect around 2.5-5 million for MGS4, with the install base hurting it in the short term and great legs.

Anyway, great PS3 exclusives:

1. MGS4
2. GOW3
3. FFXIII

...that's really all I've got. I'm sure there will be some other great ones, but I'm not willing to give IP's the benefit of the doubt until the game comes out. Maybe Ninja Gaiden Sigma. And, hey, Chrono Trigger 3 (a guy can dream, can't he? Hell, I'd probably buy a PS3 just for that game alone if it ever existed)

Both GTA4 and Gran Turismo 5 on the PS3 will probably significantly outsell Halo 3. And look at what Halo 3 did for the 360 platform, hardware sales wise the game accomplished very little for the platform, the bulk of Halo fans already owned the platform. Gears 2 probably won't attract many new users neither as the bulk of Gears fans who don't want to wait for the 'full experience' on the PC already own a 360.

Ignoring the contentious topic name. From someone who owns both a Wii and Xbox 360 the PS3 exclusives I'm keeping a close eye on are:

- God of War 3
- Little Big Planet
- FF XIII
- White Knight Story
- Wipeout HD

These are the games which if they deliver I will definitely be purchasing a PS3 to play. Although a lot of the other games mentioned here are well on course for greatness I feel the 360 has something to counter them, I am not trying to argue that the PS3 or 360 games are better but merely that the difference in experience is not enough to justify purchasing one way of the other. For example, due to the wealth of fantastic FPS games on the 360 I do not feel any PS3 shooter is going to offer me enough of an experience over and beyond what I can experience on the 360.

I feel home as well - although not for me personally - might justify a place on that list purely because it is a ps3 exclusive albeit not technically a game?

Also I cannot see Resistance 2 outselling Gears 2. Resistance, from my limited play experience, looks like a cracking game and the sequel is lining up to be far superior but it will not have the blockbuster marketing that M$ will pump into Gears 2. Gears has sold ~ 5m vs Resistance ~ 2.5m. If EPIC deliver I cannot see Gears 2 selling less than the first game and I think Sony would be delighted if Resistance 2 sells in the 3-4million range.

Its great that we have 3 platforms this generation all with compelling software and I look forward to seeing how many of the platforms exclusives / multiplatform games deliver.

Surely MikeB you are being a little optimistic here. According to VGchartz figures only 6 games on the PS2 have actually sold more than Halo3. Three of those games being GTA games which is now a multiplatform game from the day of launch. If GTA4 sells the same amount as San Andreas, which would be a great achievement based on the lower combined install base of the ps3 + 360 compared to the ps2 when GTA:SA came out,  it is reasonable to assume that at least 50% of that total will be made up of sales on the 360? - or atleast 50% of it's sales in the first year from launch based on the larger install base.

Assuming that Halo3 continues to sell - which it will - and hits roughly 8m by the end of the year I cannot see GTA4 on the PS3 "significantly outsell"ing Halo3, this is unrealistic. Rockstar would be over the moon at 15m total sales combined.

Perhaps GT5 will outsell Halo3  but I cannot see it hitting the dizzy heights of Gran Turismo 3 A-Spec. However you spin it 8m sales it going to take some getting in an environment where the PS3 is not the dominant platform (the Wii has that crown and wont be letting go for some while).
