No doubt about it. Sony has done an awesome job with PS4 Pro. Consoles are about to enter another level of sales. Pro and Scorpio are changing the perseption of consoles in a very good way. Can't wait to start enjoying my enhanced PS4 experience next Thursday.

I've seen that thinking elsewhere too. The mistake you're making, and others are making, is you're seeing it as just an alternative purchase for new console owners. That's not all it is though, and I bet now I've said that you can see for yourself why the PS4 is likely to have a huge Nov/Dec. PS4 sales were already great and now we'll also see people who already have a PS4 replacing it with a PS4 Pro. Normal sales + replacement sales = big sales. And let's not ignore how PSVR is also focusing consumers on the PS4. It might not affect sales directly, in that people will buy both, but it will make people think about which console to buy when they know one of them can offer them a new experience in the future if they wish to eventually buy PSVR.
