Zelda could easily sell 30 million copies? Wtf did i just read....
Nintendo literally announces their next console: So called 'analyst' plucks eyes and ears and goes 'lalalalalalalalalalaPS4! llalalalalalalalalalaalxboxone!'
Yep, not going to happen before a very long time. They are going to release their next dedicated gaming hardware next year.
And Nintendo don't have the technical skills to compete with the likes of Uncharted or Horizon Zero Dawn.
And finally they are too proud to port their games on Playstation or Xbox. They would prefer doing a cheap "Mario runner" on mobile instead of porting their games on the PS or XBox...
I was hoping this would be a troll thread about Zelda stickers for Xbox or something like that instead of shitty journalism, but nope.
If Nintendo goes third party they will make garbage mobile games. I do not think they would want to make AAA games their brand does not appeal to.
Lol, Zelda didn't even break those kind of numbers back when Nintendo consoles were the only relevant consoles around, and didn't breach 10m on a high selling system like the Wii. Zelda's a very bad example for this, because if we've learned anything these past 30 years it's that the series has a remarkably reliable and steady fanbase regardless of install-base.

for the most part I agree with you. Nintendo games on PC would be great, especially if the Switch and Pro controller have bluetooth capabilities. I mean, Mario is coming to smartphones so PC isn't a big stretch. Either way the console wars are pretty irrelevant. But it would feel weird, for me, for Nintendo to go full third party...
NINTENDO
nintendo forever . . .

If the Wii U hammer the final nail in the coffin, the Switch most certainly do it either.

My thoughts exactly.
Is he aiming this article a Nintendo in a vain attempt to convince them? I don't understand the point of this article.
If Nintendo is making portable-centric systems from now on, I don't really even see much of a conflict of interest in putting *some* games (not all, but *some*, same way they do on iOS/Android) on dedicated home-only higher end consoles like the Playstation and XBox which clearly are a separate/different segment of the market.
If Nintendo was still competing in that market like they were in the N64/GameCube days I would agree it would be a bad idea. Or even if they had some crazy, incredible controller revolution that could turn the industry on their head.
But it's basically no to both of those.
So in that case, I see no reason for Nintendo not to make extra money on the side, getting a few more PS/XB fans hooked on their franchises and buying a Switch as a secondary/portable platform.
