First off, I doubt FF is very dependant on "casuals".

Second, Conan's credibility amongst anyone with most of their brains in their head died when he helped promote freaking Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5.

I highly doubt Conan's opinion will phase any noticeable number of people.

He played for 1hour, with them jumping from save game to save game, through various parts of the game.

He hasnt sat down and played through the story, so ofc things might not make sense to him.
