Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo is screwing those who bought a Wii U

I get it to an extent, but the thing is the game is still coming to Wiii U so that selling point is still there and if Zelda wasnt the only reason that they bought a Wii U than all those others still exist.

For example, lets say someone wanted a Wii U for these 5 games, Mario Kart, Smash Bros, Bayonetta 2, Xenoblade, Zelda. Guess what? all 5 of those games are on Wii U.

At least these people still have the option of playing the game on Wii U, its not like Final Fantasy Versus XIII or The Last Guardian where they were delayed for years, assumed to be dead, then all of a sudden showed back up and were no longer releasing on the consoles they were originally announced.

Why would the option of playing the game on Wii U matter when Zelda drops below 30fps on Wii U and has no gamepad features and the multiplayer community moves to Switch? If these ports were released in 3 years then you could make a good point, but they will be out very soon after the original Wii U releases and will have a lot of exclusive content, making the Wii U worthless.

You are talking about a bunch of unknown variables, do we know the Wii U version drops below 30fps? do we know the game even has a multiplayer option?

These games dont make the Wii U worthless, I bought and played MK8, Smash 4 & Splatoon around the time of release meaning i had almost 2-3 years to play these games before their updated ports release.

I got my money worth of these games and Wii U considering i have a few dozen games and have put in 100s of hours playing them. The enjoyment anybody had from Wii U and its games doesnt magically disapear because these games get rereleased on another device.

By that logic the vc console has cheated all the owners of past Nintendo consoles.

It is subjective as well. When I think of the Wii U games that had the biggest impact on me only MK8 is amongst the list rumoured to be ported. For me the likes of The W101, Tropical Freeze and even Nintendo Land (And an enhanced port of Wind Waker) had more playtime and left more of an impact on me than Smash or Splatoon...

That said, I'd be happy for all those games to be ported to the Switch as well. The more people to get the chance to play them the better.

2-3 of exclusivity isn't enough. 5 years of exclusivity is the least you can reasonably expect for an expensive failed system.

It had 4 but whatever, you're just making up arbitrary guidelines for what a console has to have.

It is not entirely arbitrary, it is based on the usual support gave to their consoles, and Nintendo promised they would support the Wii U so...

not Nintendo's fault you believed them

Wii U not only doesn't have an exclusive Zelda but now won't have an exclusive Smash Bros., or Mario Kart. This is completely unprecedented and means Wii U did not get the support Nintendo promised, but did a bait and switch on their most vocal supporters. Yet everyone is happy that they bought hard-earned cash on a worthless scam that the Wii U ended up being and even double-dipping on Switch games. Seriously, screw Nintendo and everyone who wants these ports on Switch. If it turns out Mario Kart 8, Splatoon and Smash Bros are ported to Switch, I won't buy it. I won't support a company who promised support then betray me.

Sure Ninty is screwing them, but I wouldn't say everybody's happy, the vast majority not only of gamers in general, but just of Ninty gamers too, avoided Wii U.

damn then 360 and ps3 owners must feel screwed over too, with all the remasters ps4/xb1 have gotten o.O

That logic only applies to Nintendo though. Keep in mind "their" objective is to target Nintendo because they try to renew the audience of the japanese industry. Once they'll get rid of Nintendo the rest of the japanese industry won't take long to follow since the source will be gone.

It is Nintendo's fault for sending the wrong message when everyone expected them to just axe the console like they did with the Virtual Boy.

I FEEL VERY ATTACKED!! How do they dare to release their own IPs in their own hardware besides the commercial failure?!
