Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo: “Happy Additional Third-Party Publishers Showed Interest In Switch After Our Introduction Video”

That's a little concerning. Shouldn't publishers already know what the Switch was before? How are they supposed to have games ready for the system at launch?

Please see the title:

So it's more publishers showing interest. Likely some of the smaller ones who didn't get the word up untill now.

Well, over 1000 developers showed interest making Ouya games in 2012... ;)

lol.

OT:

I get it when fans set up themselves for the same old disappointment. I don't get why Nintendo is encourging that behaviour.

Well since the Wii/Wii U we've all been telling Nintendo to get more 3rd party support, so this is turning out great.

Wonder who they are talking about, yes

Sounds good so far

Lots of indie devs, in particular those that work on mobile games. Making games for a tablet that can hook up to the TV is good business for them, specially considering their games aren't hard to port.

The Wii U had okay indie support, but if the Switch gets most of the multiplat indie games, that would be great

Exactly, the only way good 3rd party games are going to appear on the platform is if the console is good enough to easily translate products over and Nintendo hands out development cash. Something they only lightly did last time it seems.

Yeah, that is true. I just hope the NS has a great start, and is overall a success for Ninten... :<
