Yeah some of the best games who crash and break your game. He didnt like Fallout 4 because its feel more and more like an FPS and it had all these bugs

Doom?  Dishonored?  Wolfenstein?  They were all very well received.  That's the funny part.  Bethesda is now stronger than they've ever been in terms of content and publishing.  They're far better now than when they published junk like Wet and Rogue Warrior.  And he's trying to act like they've fallen back?  That's beyond ignorant.

As far as Fallout 4 goes, it's fine if he doesn't like it, even if I think his reasons are silly.  Quality-wise, it has far less bugs than New Vegas or Skyrim and is a better made game in most regards.  It's absolutely rock solid for me right now and I have 100 mods running.

It's pretty clear to me what he's trying to do and what a lot of others in the "gaming media" are going to do.  I'm betting that Dishonored 2 is going to see harsher reviews than games that send out code early.

He talked about devoloping not publishing. And youre saying that F4 is less buggy than F3 like it is an actuall improvement, games werent buggy at launch just some years ago before F3 came out. F1 and 2 werent buggy and so are still many games today who are getting released on consoles. Whats up with these excuses? No game should have game breaking bugs its unforgivable.

I automatically don't take anything seriously when the term "Anti-consumer" is used. The PC fanbase throws the word around too much for me to take it with anything buy a grain of salt anymore.

Then go back and only play 16-bit games?  You can avoid anything complex and all your problems will be solved. If you don't want to play open world games then you don't have to play open world games.  It's that simple.

Also, you probably should go back and listen to the video you posted.  He clearly says "anything they publish as well as develop" and says "publish" other times as well.  In addition to that, the entire foundation of the video is ridiculous.  He says he had respect for Bethesda before, even though Fallout 4 is much less buggy than Fallout 3, New Vegas, or even Skyrim?  He had respect for them before, even though the quality of their published titles has increased greatly?  They're only a C+ player now?  It makes no sense.

Well Doom wasnt so fabolous as well i have to say clearly nothing like the originals with tons of secrets.

So i should go the 16 Bit era for damending games to work properly? There were many open world games released without any game breaking bugs and MGSV for example had no bugs whats so ever. Look at FFXV which was delayed just so they could implement the Day 1 patch on the disc +many other improvements by the time its launching.

It's a known and generally agreed upon fact that Bethesda releases batches of game breaking bugs for its customers to QA for them, then releases patches a month after release. This is the reason my brother (a Bethesda diehard) won't invest in their games until the first patch hits.

So when this guy implies he doesn't have an respect for them currently, I can see where he's coming from. You are right, though- they've only gotten better at it, and having respect for them prior just doesn't make any sense. This guy is really inconsistent, and it doesn't do much for his credibility.

Which is pretty much my point.  If someone doesn't like Bethesda games, that's perfectly fine.  They've stuck with an old engine with tons of issues despite pulling in crazy money.  There are some good reasons  for that but, obviously, there are also good reasons against.  Either way, everyone has the right to pass on their games if they don't like it.  No one has the right to tell others what they should do with their money, however.

The same with Bethesda's new policy.  Both sides have an argument.  People can like it or not like it.  When you have videos like this, though, it kind of highlights why many people have a cynical attitude toward the gaming media in general.

Really disappointed that so many people are OK with this, that they're willfully giving away the opportunity to get an independent assessment of a game before launch.

I know a lot of YouTubers are untrustworthy and big sites like IGN and Polygon have been implicated in scandals, but that's not a good reason to let publishers act without oversight.

Well first of all the game we get is mostly patched first day and can be vastly improved.

Also their are reviewers out their that are also way more transparant so the old outlets are becoming harder to believe, you can literally write a review of a game you not even played and I probably will not find out.

While people like Angry Joe go live on twitch and go in review mode so you can see him play the game he reviews for 10 or a lot more hours.  I honestly was amazed by how he reviewed No man sky , I could feel and see the issues, others outlets are not that transparant and people get mostly burned by those old outlets reviews...
