So why are you shipping only 2M?

Well to be fair, we only know the launch month.  That could be a really low ball move or a bold one depending on whether it launches March 1 or March 21.  So we'll see.

Almost certain it will be last week of March, 3DS was launched in 25. March in Europe and 27. March in US.

Hmm, Nintendo is using youtube for social or media impact. Those youtube view threads don't seem that silly anymore :p.

I don't think they are using just YouTube, but they just mention YouTube like example.

2m shipment until end of March, and Switch will most likely be launched in last week of March.

That's still much less than the 3DS.

3DS was launched in February in Japan, basically strongest market for handheld, so for Japan 3DS had 5 weeks of sales, not just one week. So it's really hard to compare with Switch expecting launch numbers.

Kinda, sorta, Japan was hit with that monster earthquake and nuclear meltdown (literally) like the week after the 3DS launched.

It a weird way it was kind of a ominious sign that the enusing generation was not going to be a good one for Nintendo.

But anyways, the 3DS Japanese launch definitely had its legs cut off from under it as a result of that. I think they were planning on shipping 4 million 3DS' but it got scaled back to 3.61 largely because of the Japanese earthquake.

Switch shouldn't be expected to compare to the 3DS because the consumer market was very different back then. Smart phone gaming apps were really in their infancy (Angry Birds had just launched in Dec. 2009) and tablets were basically mainly the iPad which was an expensive upscale product for adults, not kids.

And 3DS was coming off the monsterous success of the DS. So it had a lot easier of a path (very) initially.

But what about the reactions to his reaction to the reactions?

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

I don't care for the concept. A tablet with controller nubs isn't exactly Nintendo innovation. The real test will be when they show the games in January. I think it might make or break the system.

I think we have enough Zombies on the street with Pokemon GO and phones in general.. Soon we can throw a bowling ball down the street and i would knock down at least 5 people and no one would take notice to what is going on.

PSN: Opticstrike90
Steam: opticstrike90

I like the switch but to say the reaction has been overwhelmingly positive is ... not true lol.
The internet is still burning - "This is fine" - "Yup this is just fine"

Even if you only count the first 2 days of the 3DS in Japan and the 5-6 days of sales in March in the rese of the world that's still 2.95M shipped.
