Plus around 2009 a gaming pc.
Any console I owned previously was purchased by my loving and caring parents, not myself.

2017 - Planning to re-build 2013 PC with a smaller case.

I'm pretty sure that's everything, and in the correct years (i almost forgot about the PSP Go :p). I've also included purchases i'm strongly expecting to make next year. I might end up getting a Switch too, but that's far from certain right now (its an interesting concept, but not one that meshes well with my gaming preference, so i'm waiting on more game announcements).

not getting into any lists.... about twice every generation. Like i bought the OG PS3 then also got the PS3 slim when it was released and gave my OG PS3 to someone.

Now I have already sold my PS4 and will be buying the PS4pro in a few weeks.

Now that I think of it, I don't think I have ever had a console for more than 3-4yrs.

But I don't ever hold on to two of the same thing. So If I'm buying a new console for whatever reason that's in the same family of consoles, then the old one would be sold or given to someone else without fail.

2011- June 3DS
2012- JunePs3, and my 2rd x360 in Nov
2013- Another 3DS in December
2014- Wii U in June
2015- Xbone in Oct

No rime or reason to it, whenever something good comes out I guess for whatever. A couple systems per generation mostly, because there's different companies.

I have never bought a revision. I will usually go for the best version, but if a better one of the same system comes out I won't buy it. For example I don't see the point in a PS4Pro when I already have a regular PS4. Of the GameBoy I have an original, a Pocket and a Color though but those were gifted by my parents, and besides, Color had plenty of exclusives.

* "day one" purchases.

*Edit* got another Gameboy in 1995, a GBA some time in 2002, and a Genesis some time in the middle of the sixth gen.

When it comes to owning the same console more than once, I had/have...

SIX DS consoles: 3 "phat" (all broken), 2 Lites, and one DSi.

Three Xbox 360s: 20gb (broken and sold), 60gb, and S type

Two PS3s: 80gb "Phat" (broken, still owned), 250gb Super Slim

Three PS2s: 2 broken, one given away--one broken in my possession, still.

Two PS1s: 1 broken, 1 sold

Two PSPs: both are just fine!

Two 3DSs: both are fine!

Two NN3DSs: both are fine!

Two Xbox Ones: 500gb Titanfall bundle, 1tb original model. Both are a-ok.

Two PS4s: one 500gb original, one 1tb Pro (preorder payoff in full)

Two Nintendo 64s: sold one, still have one.

Two Gameboys: sold one, lost one.

Since the PS2 (Which I think i bought it when the PS3 was just released) Ive bonly bought Nintendo consoles.

Cant exactly remember when i bought the Ps2, DS, and Wii.

But I bought the 3DS in its first year around nov or dec. Then the Wii U 2 weeks after it came out.

Pocky Lover Boy!

Not day 1, that's for sure

I got the Wii U in 2014 and the 3DS in 2012?

[3DS] Winter Playtimes [Wii U]

3DS - March 2011
Wii U - December 2012
Ouya - December 2013
new PC - March 2014
N3DS XL - February 2015
Xbox One - December 2015
Android Tablet - August 2016
NES Classic Edition - December 2016
Nintendo Switch - March 2017

mainly one new console per year, depending on what happens. buying an Ouya was not my best day but i did get a bit of mileage out of it. and yes, that is a prebuilt PC on the list. it was cheap, like $350, and had pretty good specs for that price.
