To my knowledge, Rygar: Battle of Argus is a remixed version of another Rygar game released on the PS2. Before you quickly judge it as a crappy port, the graphics are updated and the character looks different. Besides the single Youtube video released about it (as of 3.30.08) I *emphasis on I* think that it is the T-rated God of War for the Wii. I say that because I believe the GOW engine was a little based on that 2002 Rygar game. So far the game has been delayed three times. (1/21/08, to 5/2/08, to August who-knows-when 2008. This game looks like it could be a sleeper hit, but I don't know many people actually aware of the game. What have you heard about Rygar? P.S. This is my 1st forum post here on VGChartz.

There isn't too much known about the game, besides the delays, character, and visual tweaks you mentioned. I'm hoping the game will be a winner, and the delays have me thinking it(hopefully) won't be a sloppy PS2 port. I had always intended to get it on the PS2, but never got around to it.

It will probably not do very well, like the PS2 game before it. I just hope it does well enough to justify a sequel(assuming the game turns out well).

Wow for a port those are some nice graphics. They might suceed in porting a ps2 game.

Horrible camera and bad voice actors... and stiff animation... ugh...

It's not ported from the PS2 as Soriku said - the one thing they were the proudest to announce when this was first unveiled was the fact it will be remade from the ground up for the Wii.

Off the top of my head it was announced around October time last year at some kind at gaming day with art character drawings and that was about it so i'm expecting fall 08 for US and Japan, probably 09 release for Europe / Aussies will get it god knows when, next leap year probably as they always get a bad deal.

The PS2 Rygar was well reviewed, and under appreciated. Maybe it'll get the attention it deserves with this Wii-make. Okami, too! They may be ports/special editions, but the Wii is getting some serious quality games.
