Yes. By European Union's warranty law, any electronics device sold in the EU must have at least two years of warranty.

EDIT - oh wait, I see you're in UK. I don't know if that directive has been implemented in UK. It's from 2002 so I suppose there was enough time to implement it, I have no idea if you guys did though. Check your warranty.

You may have to take it up with the seller, as I think this law applies to the seller, not manufacturer.
