Can we not turn this into a fanboy war?  The point is, one of the few joys of this very sick kid was his PSP.  It got stolen from him, and it got replaced.  It's got nothing to do with us.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

Tag, courtesy of fkusumot: "Why do most of the PS3 fanboys have avatars that looks totally pissed?"
"Ok, girl's trapped in the elevator, and the power's off.  I swear, if a zombie comes around the next corner..."

Yeah..
I am glad that the kid got his gift back
Even though it should have been a DS! lol

hope the sick kid will recover!!

I've always hung out with really sketchy people. Whenever they tried to convince me to steal something or if they tried stealing something I would never let it happen. Its just one of my things. I don't think its right at all, but I'll ignore it if I see them steal from wal mart or rite aid.

I think its bullshit, people don't usually even steal out of necessity. They are just selfish dicks, basically.

Wow, I'm seriously glad someone replaced it because I would have 100% done it for him if they hadn't....
I have 2 psp's and would have gladly given up one for a good cause.

It's truly sick that someone would do that...may they rot in Hell.

That's just wrong! However, I think a stolen PSP is the least of his worries with his medical records stolen.

I'm sorry, but some people, like the topic creator, are overreacting a bit here. A bad thing happened to someone who has had worse things happen to him, but it's not like the thief said "oh, hey, here's that cancer kid's PSP... I should steal it to make him feel worse!" It's just random theft, and a whole lot of GOOD people at the Dallas police did a great thing to make the kid feel better.

For Christ's sake, why focus on one or two bad people when the story clearly shows the actions of dozens or hundreds of good people? And why can't we turn the other cheek, and just let the courts hand out the FAIR punishment for the crime commited once (if) the police capture them? Do we really have to cry out to have someone murdered because they coincidentally robbed someone who was having an abnormally hard time at life? If everyone could just listen to the words of Jesus, I wouldn't have to be an athiest.

You do not have the right to never be offended.

Wow. This is one of those stories that makes me very sad about people in general. My confidence in humanity plummets every time I see this sort of thing.

Your confidence in humanity plummets everytime dozens of police officers raise a collection to help someone who had something bad happen to them? There's an old saying here in the US: "Shit happens." And it happens to every last one of us, whether we get cancer or have our PSPs stolen or whatever else. But this is one of those rare moments when someone did something about it out of the goodness of their hearts, and all you can think about is the fact that there are a few bad people out there?
