Hoping to see a decent line-up of AAA and Indie titles for PSVR at PSX. I would really love to see The Last Of Us 2 and Sucker Punches next projects be PSVR exclusives. Sony has to push forward if they want to lead the future of VR, and there are no better teams in there stable to do the honors.

Is the PSVR userbase large enough to warrant this degree of dedication? AAA? TLoU2 PSVR exclusive?

I heard it has done really well. Already in the hundreds of thousands.

The full games are overpriced, smaller games are priced right.

So far I spend CAD 221.50 on software (€172 including tax)
- Rigs CAD 60 not sure if worth that much, but my kids like it
- DriveClub VR CAD 27 discount from season pass, just right
- Tumble VR CAD 13.50 just right
- Super Stardust Ultra VR CAD 27 I didn't get a discount for owning the ps3 version and dlc :/
- Thumper CAD 27 just right
- Wayward Sky CAD 27 just right
- Rez Infinite CAD 40 gotg, worth it.

That and the demos have kept me up each night and will for couple weeks to come. I also had not played Bound yet which got an excellent vr upgrade for free.

Eve Valkyrie and Battlezone are CAD 80 here, too much for what the demos show.
CAD 40 for job simulator, too much.

Anyway if you want to play all the launch games at launch, what did you expect to pay?

The Euro is at .69 sent to the CAD....am I missing something or are we getting the short end of the stick over here?

Tax is 13% here, not included in the price. CAD 27 is 30.51 with hst equals 21.05 euros
Or 20 euros minus 20% vat is 16.67 equals CAD 24.15

Seems Europe gets better prices if those you listed are correct.

How many hundreds of thousands? Also, hundreds of thousands is dwarved by the tens of millions of non-VR options AAA efforts would probably prefer to focus on.

Eww, just the thought of that sickens me!

I can see why.

Well, I am absolutly loving PSVR. Spent $500 on the unit, $500 on games, and have $2000 worth the PS4 Pro and 4TB SSD on the way. Driveclub, Rigs, and Eve have had me coming back night after night. So far the only game from the launch line-up that I am not happy with is Here They Lie. The rest I have had a great time, with and wish there were more hours in the day so I could enjoy them all.

I am looking forward to Robinson: The Journey and Eagle Flight early next month, and extremely excited to see how the PSVR Aim controller works with Far Point in January. Resident Evil 7 and Gran Turismo Sport will show me what an old franchise can do in the next chapter in gaming, and all in all it looks like a solid first 6 months. Plus I can't forget the Vr video apps, and support for VR through the web browser. The current apps are great, and I look forward to VR porn once the new video players roll out next year.

I was tempted by here they lie. Is there anything more to it or is the demo pretty much what to expect? I don't mind the low resolution, yet if all there is is walking through the same tunnels I'll pass.

How is Eve Valkyrie? The demo was way too short to get a feel of the game. Is there any meat to the game to warrant full price?

I'm having a blast with all the psvr games so far, not enough hours in the day indeed. Just need to take a break for a drink now and then.

Well if AAA development with AAA budgeting is to be expected on PSVR, there's going to be a need for greater adoption than "hundreds of thousands" otherwise you can expect more "half-measures" releasing on PSVR.

They are all off by 1 cent but yeah, this includes all taxes...why would you not include tax yourself, is it a credit card thing or what? Jesus, I'd never trust myself with one of those. They really should add that on up front on the PS store. I'm confused...

Taxes are never included in the price in Canada and USA. Taxes vary by province and state. They could add it in the store based on your location yet since it's not customary here it would only confuse people.
I guess stores like to remind people that it's the government that screws you everytime the total is more than you expected :)

The size of the userbase doesn't matter. The job of Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo is to justify the hardware they make, and set an example for 3rd parties. Sony has to put full support behind PSVR if it is to succeed. We have seen what happens when they don't support hardware (see Vita). It is vital to the success of PSVR that Sony's best developers making games for it.

Eww, just the thought of that sickens me!

The thought that Sony would put out a $400 device and not give it the support of its best developers and properties should be even more sickening. As above, it is Sony's job to bring software and set an example for 3rd parties. That is how they grow the userbase, and how they set new standards.

I only played Here They Lie for about 30 minutes. Just walking around picking up pictures, but it made me feel dizzy and gave me a headache.

Eve is great if Dog fights are your thing. It is a solid multiplayer game, and has a ton of upgrades to unlock. It is a little bit of a pay to free to play game though. So those that pay progress faster. I am enjoying it though, so I am down for the grind. I have enjoyed it better than any dog fighting game I have played before.

The size of the userbase doesn't matter.

It does to third parties.

Indeed. Whether Sony will do so, we shall see...
