3DS has always seen an increase going into October. It's average increase is 20%, but this does not include 2013 as Pokemon XY launched at the beginning of the month. That saw a massive 170% increase.

I think that both PS4 and Xbox One will be up from previous year. What did we got last year ? I think that the new UFC game was the biggest game for October(non-exclusive). Battlefield will move both consoles.

I think that the Wii U will sell more due to the announcement of the Nintendo Switch, there will be some collectors who will rush for the console.
3DS already sold more in the last months than it sold last year(due to Pokemon Go). It will sell even more than last year, the closer we get to the release of Pokemon Sun and Moon.

I still don't get why the NS annoucememt and release date which is just around 5 months away will make anyone go and buy a wiiU now though. 

Like I suddenly get intersted in a nintendo console cause of the NS reveal then I run off to buy their 4yr old console that they are replacing in 5 months?

Furthernore the unlike the PS4, the NS isnt even an iterative console, it's a completely new thing. It's their 9th gen console. That's like saying announcement of PS4 boosted sales of the PS3.

I think the wiiU sales is gonna grind to a halt.

Made a bet with LipeJJ and HylianYoshi that the XB1 will reach 30 million before Wii U reaches 15 million. Loser has to get avatar picked by winner for 6 months (or if I lose, either 6 months avatar control for both Lipe and Hylian, or my patrick avatar comes back forever).

PS4 ~ 75,000
Wii U ~ 3,500

About 33% Xbox one sold more than PS4. Difference was only 1,500 in September (so guess in the 1% range difference)


Looks like this is a easy Xbox one month.
