but it's based on a new chip with new architecture, we don't have the specs, but nvidia is helping with the optimization too. So maybe there's some magic there, maybe not the same power, but maybe not too underpowered. |
Yeaa that is why I am holding my final judgement until it comes out. There is this thing going on atm where say the CPU might be as powerful as the ones inside the x1 (not that it means much since those are weak sauce).
Note: Without much research and actual reading about it cause I am too lazy, I came across this from either reddit or neogaf. So don't kill/quote me on this.

More or less, the cpu is very close to the one from ps4/x1, just that the ps4/x1 has two of them. And that is against the A15s from Nvidia which is super old by today's standards since they released in 2013. Now of course, the cpus inside the ps4/x1 havn't changed for obvious reasons but according to Nvidia's roadmap, if they are actually using the lastest and greatest inside the NS, it should be A57s + Denver. Which should be more or less on par with the x1/ps4 cpu or even beat them. The issue is of course, the GPU since we know nothing about them.
Still, that is if they are using it and its not like a low powered version specifically for mobile and has a lot of ifs and uhhs. Their latest and greatest are meant for cars and not really handhelds but it is the only one with Pascal and they can certainly modify it. So we shall see though.
