Forums - Nintendo - Games you expect/want to see within the first 2 years of the Switch

Let's cut to the chase. No need for paragraphs of explanations. Here's what I wouldn't mind seeing:

-Super Mario Switch(confirmed already by trailer)

-Mario Kart 8 port? We saw King Boo, so maybe more amazing DLC packs for the Wii U version and all DLC packs included in NX version

-Splatoon port(?)  Hopefully added features

-Animal Crossing Switch

-Pokemon D/P remakes

-Super Mario Sunshine/Super Mario 64 HD

-Luigi's Mansion main series game

-2K sports series(and not just a one time thing like NBA 2k. Like to see it be up to date)

-Kid Icarus Switch(plz Nintendo- Uprising was 10/10)

-Sm4sh port with added characters(?)

-Ace Attorney 7

-Kirby main series game

-Donkey Kong main series game

-Half-Life 3

-Bayonetta 3(if they even make one)

-Virtual console library

-Paper Mario main series game

-Mario and Luigi RPG 6

-More Maximum Dong(aka Donkey Kong)

-A sonic game that's actually decent/good(Could we just get sonic colours 2?)

I'd say that's my list. It's pretty high expectations, so I am not going to hate on Nintendo if they don't give out the games I desire within 2 years. Considering how a lot of the games I want are 1st party games, I should probably expect to see a linear schedule of when games release. Regardless, I am quite optimistic with Nintendo. Even if Switch doesn't become as dominant as the Wii, I know I'll probably be satisfied with it

12/22/2016- Made a bet with Ganoncrotch that the first 6 months of 2017 will be worse than 2016. A poll will be made to determine the winner. Loser has to take a picture of them imitating their profile picture.

You forgot monster hunter, dude :).

In the wilderness we go alone with our new knowledge and strength.

Hoping for some Mega Man, but I wont hold my breath.

The Mario Kart Switch thing seemed to be more than just DLC, there are dual weapons, I think it's like Mario Kart 8.5 or something.

It looks to me like "remixed" versions of Wii U's bigger games are coming early for NS.

Mario Kart, Splatoon, and Smash Bros.

Thing is, Monster Hunter is basically guaranteed. With how well it sells(even with the amount of games they release), I'm sure Capcom and Nintendo are quite happy with each other,

Still very sad after the 3DS version got cancelled. I loved the DS megamans we got. Heck, I love all of the megaman games. Still waiting for anything megaman related at all. I'd happily buy it, even if it was mediocre at best.

Splatoon in the trailer had hair styles something that the current game doesn't feature I think its the next game same thing with MK as these two are series where you'll really only have one of on each platform. Confirmed we know the is Mario, MK, Splatoon, DQXI, DQX, Sonic, Just Dance, Zelda and Pokemon on the way.

I think something from Platinum Games, another Warriors game possibly Fire Emblem Warriors, a Monster Hunter game (one is due to be announced March funny enough).

I would like to see:
- A new FZero with a very deep career mode, like, you start driving a junker hovercar very beated up and gain some credits, take the thing to the shop, scrap some improvements, and slowly you get to the big league, competing with Cap. Falco. It would be cool, to be this kid that dreamed about to be in the FZero league and, after a lot of effort, you get to it. Use the same songs the original used, but with amazing orchestral and bad ass guitar arrangements.

- A new Metroid game, make it 3rd person overview just like Dead Space. Grit dark visuals like Batman Arkhan Knight, steam coming out of rusty pipes, give it weight and make it tense. Also, Samus start the game in a spaceship force landing, she jumped in a scape pod, all she has is a crappy backup suit. She must travel to the spaceship wreckage to retrieve the real suit and find a way to escape the planet.
The ship fell into this destroyed colony. Little by little Samus find pieces of the armor, fight monsters, uncover secrets. Scrap pieces of equipament to put together a new ship.

- A new Pokemon game with beautiful next gen visual, a full pokemon RPG with visuals like Xenoblade X or better.

- A Front Mission RPG. Like the old ones from SNES and PS1.

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

Fire Emblem Warriors would be very badass. I honestly think that would work, as you can simply change the strategic strategy concept to a hack-and-slash mode easily. they did it for LoZ, so I'm sure FE could do it as well.

A real 3D Mario (may have been one in the trailer, or it may have just been another 3D world like thing)
Mario Kart 8
Pokemon Stadium 3 (I figure it`s gonna be awhile before a proper Pokemon game on Switch, but a Stadium game would be a great move, for starters they were awesome but it could also be used as a way to play Sun/Moon on the big screen as well, just like Stadium 1/2 did for gens 1/2)
Virtual console releases of Mario & Pokemon. The more the better
Big 3rd party multiplat games. Why not start with Mass Effect, it release around the same time anyway...

I mean, 3D world is a 3D Mario. Don't see what you mean.

Also, it'd be nice to see Pokemon Stadium 3. I remember clocking in a bunch of hours for Pokemon Revolution back during '07. I know I'd spend a lot of time on Pokemon Stadium 3/Revolution 2 if they ever made it

Oh my. F-Zero is a very ignored series. Quite sad honestly, since it has potential. It could probably be on par with wipeout if done well.

Also, I don't think we'll be seeing a pokemon RPG anytime soon. Maybe, maybe not. unlikely though, since Pokemon's turn strategy is almost flawless and just works too well with it,

I think the first year is going to be full of WiiU ports. Maybe Nintendo sells them at a discount and gives free copies to WiiU users, to avoid angering them. The basic four I expect sooner than later are:

-The Legend of Zelda. Breath of the Wild. Self explanatory
-Mario Maker. Nintendo's equivalent to Minecraft. Doesn't need a sequel, just updates, and it can work fine on any Nintendo platform.
-Xenoblade Chronicles X. The game was too expensive and time consuming to make to just left it on the WiiU.
-Smash Brothers U. Maybe a complete edition with all the DLC.

New games, that's a more different thing. Aside from the new 3D Mario game and the Mario Kart seen on the ad, we'll probably see some sports game, either a Mario sport or a Mii-based sport. 3rd party will most likely deliver DQXI and other big JRPGs, Skyrim (I hope, the fact it's not 100% confirmed urks me in the wrong way) and some other port from older consoles. New games, maybe Ubisoft will release that viking fighting game and Activision releases the CoDs as usual. EA must really bring FIFA back to Nintendo, they should get over their problems and follow common sense.

You know it deserves the GOTY.
