Is there anything to suggest that Nintendo is funding it?

Only if the rumor is true. Which Im not so sure about tbh.

Then I wouldn't hold my breath

Im not sure. BG&E did very bad. Ubisoft might not want to make the sequel without help from another publisher.

Thats true but then I would hope Nintendo doesn't fund it. Cause they need system sellers, not niche games.

Why would it be? If it is exclusive... prepare for another Rayman Legends :D

Well sometimes it's not about the game, it's about the publicity.  Early in a console's life, you need to build it up in the public eye.  Sony did the same thing with their sizzle reel trailers early on.  Some of those games went big, others kinda just did ok.  But all contributed to the hype machine.

Do you know if the BG&E Remaster did well?

Yea but Sony had and continues to have third party system sellers which Nintendo doesn't... So even though Sony has funded some niche games in the past, even if those don't sell very many units, the third party games will sell more than enough to cover the costs.

Nintendo, as we saw, doesn't have that. They funded Bayonetta 2 which recieved quite a bit of publicity (for better or for worse) but that ended up not helping the wiiU at all in the long run. If Nintendo wants to spend money, they need to spend it on paying for day 1 ports or timed exclusives for big third party games like Red Dead Dedemption 2 or GTA because those will provide both.

So after the RDR2?trailer is there still zero indication that it's coming to NX?
