Let's do this:
So let's do NX predictions while we can still actually make them:
-will be a hybrid that can pug into your TV via mini HDMI or something.
-Cartridges slightly smaller or the same size as DS cartridges. Smallest cart size 1GB, largest 64GB
-If home/portable actually seperate, then both will use same cartridges. Most games will be cross platform, some will be console exclusive, none will be handheld exclusive (that would be pointlessly annoying)
-internal storage: 64 GB
-microSD: hopefully internal covers it and microSD is for expanding, but plan B is comes with 64 GB, will definitely have a slot, probably micro and not std SD if a hybrid.
-sides of console WILL NOT detatch as controllers.
-can connect 4 controllers wirelessly to main portable unit, have a feeling Wii + accessories will still be compatible along with new controllers. The only reason I may doubt it is that it starts to become confusing, but still believe so even if...
-wii/wii u native backward compatibility unlikely, esp. if no disc drive
-dont really know or care if NVidia or AMD, if only hybrid portable, then will be halfway between PS3-PS4 power, ~2x better than Wii U. If home AND seperate portable, portable only PS3ish power, home console nearly or at PS4 power.
-Game prices will continue to cap at $60, no mandatory installs for all games, or at very least no first party games
-Still free online
-Still no achievements
-Finally more freedom for communicating over social network/Miiverse
-Finally an account system for buying games/DLC/communicating that works on multiple systems
-Game box size: If two seperate NX units... console exclusives in larger boxes, all others in 3DS size boxes. Boxes for all games probably thinner (fine by me), but will still have those cheap holes in the plastic (I am tired of this).
-Decent selection of 3rd party support at launch, including western developers, but probably not much better than
-Other than hybrid, doubt any major gimmick. If there is a gimmick, it. Will. Not. Be. VR.
-initial 3 min reveal will not showcase any games. I assume that they will announce a date/time for that tomorrow that will come before investors briefing.
Games to be announced:
-3D Mario -> end of year, will hold breath for something along the lines of Sunshine/64, but expect either Galaxy 3 or something more along those lines. Comes out end of year
-Pokemon -> will either be another stadium game in launch window or will not come out for a while.
-we already know Zelda, DQXI, Sonic Generatio- Sorry Sonic Project 2017 will come out on it (We also know about Just Dance, but who really cares)
-Retro Studios: Will bet on Metroid Prime 4, end of 2016 - why else would federation force be released 9 years after last Prime game?
-Pikmin 4: This year because of that Miyamoto statement a while back
-Animal Crossing will come out next year
-Obligitory Ubisoft gimmick game that will have good ideas, but executed all that well
-MK and Smash will be announced and come later. Smash may actually have a chance of being a port of Wii U iteration.
-Some sort of mini game collection for launch (in the vein of wiiSports/Nintendo Land)
-No BGE2 NX exclusivity
-Splatoon sequel inevitable, but not announced at this point
-have a feeling we will get Wii U ports if NX isn't backwards compatible, but dont really know what to say at this point - especially since Wooly World and Mario Maker are getting 3DS ports
-2 games from the following list: WarioWare/Wario spinoff, Mario 64 remake, Nintendogs, medicore New Super Mario Bros Game, another fitness product/game like Wii Fit
-Would hope for an FZero title, but I sincerely doubt it, at least announced this early in NXs life span, just a hunch
And finally... the name:
The Nintendo Sauerkraut!
Just kidding it will be...
The Nintendo NX, because Nintendo Fusion, Red, Play, and Wii U2 are statistically less likely.
EDIT: If hybrid, price will be $250, if seperate more powerful console and weaker handheld, $300 for console, $200 for handheld
