Its not... its going to be about 500 Gflops when its docked (max power), which means about 1/3rd of the XOne.

Going by those rumors of 3x Wii U performance.

Its going to be less than that, when its not docked.... but still powerfull by tablet standards.

By home console standards, this is going to be like 1/10th of the PS4 pro.

Nothing in that video suggested to me that the dock would have any affect whatsoever on the power of the machine, it looks like simply a charing dock with hdmi out and usb ports.

Nothing in the video suggest the opposite neither, games could be running at 720p on the handheld and 1080p on the TV and we wouldn't know it.

Wow this is perhaps the worst looking controller I've ever seen! xD

Thank goodness you have other control options, buying the dedicated (pro controller?) is gonna be a must for using on a tv!

Honestly, I'm not seeing the point of the "sandwich" controller.
Sure, for the tablet itself, or in individual hand mode, it makes sense.
But instead of keeping the "sandwich" module to connect the controllers to...
Why not just keep a normal good controller around?  Which they also offer apparently.
So what is the point of the "sandwich" module at all?

perhaps the middle portion can be removed to reveal something useful inside or its for nfc and other technology

If the Switch on the mobile form is as powerful as an XOne or close to it, then this will be a very powerful console.I mean, it looks like it rans Mario Kart 8 at the very least. So as a handheld its going to be excellent. As a home console, we need to learn more

In terms of Power, this is the Wii all over again.

However the unified library is a thing that makes this a better situation.

If its priced right (199-249$) this is going to move alot of units.

Uhm, the trailer shows the guy is playing Skyrim HD. That's not vanilla lighting i see so it looks like it's at least a "XOne range" at this point.

3DS Swap, but that particular rumour said that it was going to be two seperate devices, a dedicate handheld and a seperate home console.

Perhaps it was refering to the docking station as the console? Thay may be sold separately.

No it was saying with would be:

1 - Ecosystem
2 - Devices
3 - Ways to play

In otherwords if people wanted to take the 3DSwap as face value. We just saw the handheld component and the home console is yet to be revealed. According to that rumor both can be used on their own, much as we just saw with the Switch, but both can be combined as a unified ecosystem. It would be nice if there was more to this and that there is a real console coming.... but don't hold your breath. Honestly, I don't think I've ever been this disapointed in a Nintendo system before :/

I kinda like it. If it means there won't be a new handheld and this is console and handheld in one package to get all the games a separate console and handheld would get then I think I might buy it and it will be my first Nintendo device after Gamecube and Game Boy Advance

I have to say i'm really impressed so far.

My main concern is still about the power of the system though, but if it's getting games like Skyrim remastered I would hope it's either at least at Xbox One power level or close to it, maybe if we're lucky it could be slightly above it.

There's no way from what I saw that that is even XBox One in power. The Mario game doesn't look like anything the Wii U couldn't run.

Looks maybe a tad better than a Wii U, isn't Skyrim like 5 year old game? What's the big deal?

It's a remaster though that looks really good, something that the PS4 and Xbox One can run and not the Wii U.

I assume he's talking about power, in which case it looks like he's probably right, and the ps4 was certainly not basically a ps3 when it comes to that.

I think its as powerful as wii u as a portable using tegra and powerful using that amd rtx 470 rumor for the home console

From the video it doesn't seem to me that the dock increases the power of the device, it's an exceptionally strong handheld but I don't think the dock contains any hardware itself.

Yeah, that's basically the WiiU.

Well the ps4 was basically the ps3

The PS3 is the 4th best selling console of all time, and sold over 5 times what the Wii U did. One is a concept that people have clearly demonstrated they're interested in buying, and the other is the WIi U.

Where did you heard any of that?

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

Not happending, its too costly to do things that way.

The benefits of keeping things in 1 system, instead of makeing 2 that work together is too big.

Plus look at the size of the docking station. Seriously doubt theres anything in there that gives it more horsepower.

Its just a strong tablet, and thats it.

When it docks it doesnt have to worry about power usage, so it runs faster.

But its all running on that chip inside the tablet.

So that's pretty much an handeld wii U. I'm kind of disappointed at the concept, somehow.

The screen looks good, it would be a comfy console to play visual novels.

I think the dock has a secondary gpu chip and there is room for that. The cpu is pure handheld but the gpu with extra juice in the dock
