The only time we almost got a Pokemon RPG that was from GF was on the N64 DD. Unfortunately, the DD did bad and thusly the project never got far. At least that's what I recall. But there was a time when we almost got that console Pokemon game people want

What does this mean for the NX being Hybrid?
Does it mean not all games will played as a console and a handheld?

Doesn't mean anything, honestly the topic here is kind of misleading, Masuada is saying Pokemon being portable encourages communication and brings people together. 

He doesn't say anything with regards to the NX really. Pokemon on NX would do everything he's saying, I suggest just reading the actual quotes, there's always game articles where people put their own interpretation on something, but the quote is what it is. 

NX is supposedly a "handheld console", which is what he describes as being perfect for Pokemon.

They just explained it. It is their vision to exclude as many gamers as possible. Though it's pretty half assed if you ask me. If they really want to realize their vision they need to make it a Wii U exclusive.
