Rockstar said they will announce Red Dead Redemption 2 on october 20th. So, if the NY insider is right, two more days till the NX reveal =)

Then why Rockstar wouldn't just keep the announcement of the games until the  NX reveal , and also NX announcement will not happen on thursday, thursday will be just share holder meating , not fully product announcement.

Or they could just wait until the NX reveal to announce it. A high profile western game on a series that will be new to Nintendo would be a good surprise.

True, the game comes mid year 2017 or later, so, no rush

Q: Why would Rockstar put out teaser today only listing XBO/PS4 and then NX later?

A: An image teaser can easily be updated where as the full trailer is a bit more complicated. What Rockstar has gained is a few days of only talking about RDR2 and then on Thursday there will be a renewed uproar about NX plus RDR2 and all of the other games that will get announced alongside the NX reveal.

Basically, by showing RDR2 now, they don't have to compete with media time with a new console and other games.

Q: Why would Rockstar post a teaser with an specific date/time for the trailer to be premiered?

A: To align with the conclusion of a NX Nintendo Direct.
A2: ??

And let others consoles getting benefit  a head? If it's coming for NX and it will be revealed soon , why bother waiting for the NX, even Square Enix said DQ 11 coming to NX a year ago.
